The updated HiSilicom Kirin 710 is built on a 12nm process technology and has a higher operating frequency. It also supports faster RAM, which speeds up the operating system.

In addition, Huawei saved on the main camera of the Huawei Media Pad M5 Lite 8, reducing its resolution to 8 MP compared to its predecessor (13 MP). Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the price of the tablet, a year after release, is even lower than the old Media Pad M3 Lite 8.
