TOP 10 best Philips vacuum cleaners
In general, the range of models is quite extensive. Vacuum cleaners here differ in both functionality and power, as well as cost and type. It’s nice that even fairly cheap vacuum cleaners are reliable - after all, this is a serious company that values its reputation. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid of purchasing a low-quality product. In most cases, the low cost is due to not too high functionality and a small set of components. However, not all owners use a large number of functions, so for them such a purchase will definitely be a good decision.
Philips FC8295 PowerGo
Users who want to purchase an inexpensive Philips vacuum cleaner will certainly like this model. Despite its small size and affordable price, it boasts a very impressive suction power - as much as 350 W. Of course, this does not leave the slightest chance for garbage. A telescopic pipe allows you to save space in the room - one part easily fits into another. An excellent filtration system ensures that even the smallest dust does not leak out. A nice addition is the smooth power adjustment. It is not surprising that the vacuum cleaner receives excellent reviews from owners.
Advantages:
- affordable price;
- light weight;
- small dimensions;
- high-quality filtration.
Flaws:
- Comes with a disposable trash bag.
Philips FC8383 Performer Compact
Another quite powerful model that will pleasantly surprise any user. Also, every supporter of real cleanliness should buy this vacuum cleaner. Thanks to the ExtraClean nozzle, the efficiency of any cleaning increases significantly - any floor covering from linoleum to carpet will become perfectly clean. In addition, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with rubberized wheels. This brings double benefits - on the one hand, it reduces noise, and on the other, it eliminates the possibility of scratches on expensive flooring such as laminate or parquet.
Vacuum cleaners with containers usually cost much more, but their removal of debris is much more comfortable. Another disadvantage is the higher noise level - the container acts as a resonator.
Many people like the original system for removing the dust collector, which allows you to carry out all the work carefully - dust will definitely not scatter throughout the room.
Advantages:
- small dimensions;
- pleasant appearance;
- perfectly cleans any surface;
- quality of materials and workmanship;
- convenient carrying handle.
Flaws:
- There is no power control function.
Philips FC8472 PowerPro Compact
Container purists will love this Philips PowerPro vacuum cleaner. It is transparent, strong and quite convenient, besides, you don’t have to spend money on buying disposable bags. An additional advantage is the function of protecting the motor from overheating - you don’t have to be afraid that the vacuum cleaner will break down when working for a long time with a clogged garbage container. The fine filter eliminates the possibility of dust scattering throughout the room, thanks to which the model has received good reviews from many allergy sufferers.
Advantages:
- affordable price;
- ease of maintenance;
- overheat protection;
- well-developed ergonomics;
- easy to use container.
Flaws:
- no power adjustment.
Philips FC8389 Performer Compact
Users who want to choose a Philips vacuum cleaner for cleaning large areas where animals live should take a closer look at this model. The special nozzle guarantees excellent cleaning of carpets and floor coverings from wool - both short and long. The power is quite decent - 375 W, which not all such compact models can boast of.
Vacuum cleaners with a water filter, although expensive, not only provide excellent air purification, but also humidify it, creating a comfortable atmosphere in the room.
The garbage collection bag is very spacious - as much as 3 liters. Thanks to this, it is very rarely necessary to replace it, which is a serious plus for many users.
Advantages:
- power cord length – 5 meters;
- presence of a turbo brush;
- good maneuverability;
- spacious garbage bag;
- high-quality carpet cleaning from wool.
Flaws:
- gets very hot during operation.
Philips FC9573 PowerPro Active

It combines high power (as much as 410 W) and many different attachments - narrow, turbo brush and a number of others. A nice addition is a soft bumper, thanks to which the vacuum cleaner is guaranteed to last a long time even for the not-so-careful owner - with fairly strong impacts, cracks will not appear on the body. And a special compartment for storing attachments ensures that the entire set will always be at hand - nothing will get lost. And of course, judging by the reviews, the six-meter power cord is not the last advantage, which is highly valued by many owners.
Advantages:
- soft bumper;
- combination of compactness and power;
- very long power cord;
- combination of price and quality;
- cleans all surfaces well.
Flaws:
- Not all turbo brushes are of high enough quality.
Philips FC9150 Performer
Do you want to purchase a spacious and high-quality vacuum cleaner that you will have to clean very rarely? Then you'll probably love the Philips FC9150 Performer. One of the main advantages of this vacuum cleaner is its simply huge bag - its volume is as much as 4 liters! Very few analogues have such a spacious bag for garbage and dust. Powerful vacuum cleaners are needed for cleaning carpets and upholstered furniture. For parquet and linoleum, weak analogues are quite sufficient. A nine-meter cord is enough to restore order even in a very spacious apartment, without running from one outlet to another. The ability to turn it on and off with your foot makes cleaning even easier and more comfortable.
Advantages:
- huge dust bag;
- low noise level;
- acceptable noise level;
- HEPA 13 fine filter;
- high-quality assembly.
Flaws:
- On some models the cord does not retract completely.
Philips FC9170 Performer
A very successful model that combines noiselessness, power and ease of use. Therefore, it has the right place in the ranking of the best Philips vacuum cleaners. 500 W of power is more than enough to instantly deal with any amount of debris - it will simply disappear in a bag that is so large that it allows you to go months without cleaning. The fine filter ensures that dust does not return back into the room. Surprisingly, with such a high power, the noise level of the vacuum cleaner is not at all high, only 78 dB - many weaker models are much louder. Finally, the overall picture is completed by such pleasant little things as a bag full indicator, several tubes, rubber wheels and a soft bumper.
Advantages:
- does not work too noisily;
- ease of use;
- good equipment;
- roomy bag.
Flaws:
- quite heavy - 6.3 kg.
Philips FC9733 PowerPro Expert
The Philips Powerpro expert vacuum cleaner is rightfully considered one of the most successful. There is everything here to delight the user - from a seven-meter cord, which allows you to restore order even in a spacious apartment without switching between sockets, to high power. Many users like the large number of attachments - using them, you can easily and quickly cope with any cleaning. A special anti-allergenic filter at the outlet ensures that all the smallest particles of debris will not cause discomfort to people living in the apartment. It is also worth noting the thoughtful design, which allows the container to be easily and quickly removed for emptying.
Advantages:
- very powerful;
- excellent maneuverability;
- the presence of an antiallergic filter;
- high-quality cleaning of the air flow from dust;
- convenient design.
Flaws:
- high price.
Philips FC9911 PowerPro Ultimate
The first thing that catches your eye when looking at this model is its beautiful design. Indeed, the vacuum cleaner looks very elegant, there is nothing superfluous or, moreover, any protruding edges. However, the matter is not limited to external beauty. It is also worth highlighting the excellent filtration system, which guarantees maximum cleaning efficiency. The telescopic suction pipe is not only convenient to store, but also allows each user to adjust it to suit themselves, which makes the operating process even more comfortable.
Advantages:
- convenient dust collector;
- works surprisingly quietly;
- compactness;
- suction power;
- excellent appearance.
Flaws:
- Quite a short hose.
Philips FC9176 Performer
Of course, although this vacuum cleaner model is the most expensive in the rating, it is also the most successful. On the one hand, it boasts very high power. 500 W is enough even to clean a Persian carpet covered in long cat hair. On the other hand, the vacuum cleaner does not make too much noise, only 78 dB, which allows it not to cause unnecessary discomfort to others. Many people like a very long cord - 9 meters is more than enough to clean up even the most spacious apartment. Well, a lot of attachments and a four-liter dust collector only complement the main advantages. Thanks to this, reviews of the vacuum cleaner are left only positive.
Advantages:
- makes less noise than most analogues;
- highest power;
- long network cable;
- good noise level;
- very long hose.
Flaws:
- Quite a heavy telescopic tube.
How to choose and what to pay attention to?
The main parameters are considered:
- Power consumption . For domestic purposes, a model with a power of 1400 to 1900 W is suitable, for a large volume of work - from 2000 to 2400 W. Manual, battery-powered, robotic and specialty vacuum cleaners are equipped with less powerful motors.
- Suction power . Affects the quality of cleaning. When cleaning linoleum, tiles or laminate, models with a suction power of 350 W have proven themselves well. Samples with a power of 400 W are well suited for processing carpets, and 450 W are suitable for thoroughly cleaning various surfaces.
- Dust container volume . The optimal indicator is from 2 to 4 liters.
- Filter and degree of air purification . It is good if a HEPA filter is installed in the system. It efficiently cleans the passing air from particles 0.6 microns in size. For example, the HEPA 14 filter showed an ideal result, sucking up to 99.995% of dust.
- Additional options . This may be the location of control buttons on the body or handle of the vacuum cleaner, automatic overload protection, a dust bin full indicator, liquid collection and antibacterial treatment, a set of nozzles. The more features, the more functional the device.
Philips SmartPro review: a smart robot vacuum cleaner that loves cleanliness
When reviewing cleaning robots, endless “Yes, but...” pop up. Yes, it works well, but not throughout the entire cleaning cycle. Yes, it cleans without your participation, but not everywhere. Yes, it does everything, but how much does it cost! The Philips SmartPro FC8820 turned out to be a pleasant exception, because it perfectly performs all the functions declared by the manufacturer and is not intimidating with its price.

Includes a double set of brushes, two control panels, a docking station and a virtual wall
We selected a difficult task for testing: cleaning a three-room apartment, the windows of which face a busy street, which is why a lot of dust constantly accumulates on the floor.
Immediately after charging, the Philips SmartPro showed what it can do and dispelled the myth that all robot vacuum cleaners do a poor job of cleaning dust along walls and next to furniture, because they simply cannot get too close to the right places.

Robots in the Philips SmartPro line are equipped with sensors, a gyroscope and an accelerometer. This intelligent filling forms the Smart Detection system, which helps the robot recognize its surroundings and select the correct cleaning mode. Apparently, that’s why the first thing the vacuum cleaner did was go to clean the dust from the nearest corner, removing small debris along the way.
Two brushes that do not fit too tightly to the floor do not prevent the vacuum cleaner from overcoming obstacles and climbing onto low rugs. But they left no chance for the dust that had accumulated on the baseboards. This is especially noticeable when the vacuum cleaner cleans in the “Around the perimeter of the room” mode.
Bumper with IR sensors
These same brushes sweep away crumbs from under table legs and in places where furniture touches the floor. Infrared sensors allow Philips SmartPro to get very close to objects on the floor. As a result, the most problematic places where dust usually collects are cleaned.
By the way, about cleaning modes. They can be set manually using the control panel. If this is not done, then in automatic mode the robot will switch between four programs independently.
Brushes working on carpet
The noise from the vacuum cleaner is comparable to the noise of traffic outside an open window: you can listen to music on headphones and send the robot to work at the same time.
The vacuum cleaner's navigation skills surprised us twice. The first time was when the robot went to clean under the closet, although the height of the opening between the floor and the furniture is only 9.5 cm. The vacuum cleaner itself, by the way, is only 6 cm in height.
The second time Philips SmartPro showed its class when it managed to climb under the kitchen set, did not get lost among a large number of table and chair legs (which could not be lifted up, as the manufacturer advises), cleaned up, and then left the furniture maze the same way it got there .
Philips SmartPro overcame obstacles in the form of rugs and “accidentally forgotten” wires on the floor without difficulty; the robot can climb to a height of up to 2 cm.
The robot cleaned the rug
The suction power of the Philips SmartPro is the same throughout the entire cleaning cycle. Even after an hour and a half, when the vacuum cleaner reached the far room, it continued to work as efficiently as at the very beginning. The robot sweeps away dust, crumbs, small scraps of paper, wool and hair. I even coped with scraps of greenery. For a machine that needs to stay clean between deep cleanings, this is an excellent result.
For clarity, we gave the vacuum cleaner a difficult test: we scattered semolina on the floor. The dust detection sensor immediately informed the robot that there was a place with heavy dirt, and Philips SmartPro activated the “Spiral” movement program, which helps to cope with difficult areas.
To photograph a beautiful clean path, I had to use a remote control with a light pointer function. With its help, you can change the trajectory of the robot’s movement and point out the most difficult and problematic areas.
The result can be seen in the photographs even without comments. One has only to add that in the end the vacuum cleaner collected all the semolina, including the cereal, which flew under the table and to the other side of the room.
A full charge and two hours of work were enough to process 50 square meters (and this was in conditions of scattered semolina). After this, the robot independently went to the docking station to recharge.
You can create a work schedule for the robot for a week in advance: it will return to the base, charge and continue cleaning without your intervention. So when you return home from work, you'll be greeted by a clean floor and a quiet vacuum cleaner.
You will only need to clean the waste container, but this is a simple task. Taking out the container and brushing off the dust from the filter takes a couple of minutes.
Opening the lid
We take out the dust collector
We see the result of the work
What else does a vacuum cleaner have? A virtual wall that can be installed if you need to prevent the robot from entering a certain area and an attachment for attaching a wet wipe that wipes the floor.
The price of the Philips SmartPro line corresponds to the middle class of smart vacuum cleaners, and they clean at the highest level. Of course, a robot vacuum cleaner will not free you from the need for wet cleaning. But it will make it much easier to keep clean. At the very least, it will become easier for you to breathe.
