Tumbler vacuum cleaner: Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Pro test

Tip-over resistant

The first thing you notice is the spherical design of the body and wheels. The center of gravity in this design - the electric motor itself with the turbine - is located in the lower part, which, together with the hemispherical wheels, repeats the principle of the tumbler toy. Therefore, during any overturning, such a “sphere” will always tend to the only stable state - support on the wheels.

As practical tests have shown, the device almost always stands on wheels, even when deliberately tipped on its side. However, it is worth noting that the supporting part of the wheels is very thin, and its silicone coating can quickly wear off when used on a rough hard surface.

Unique filtration system

Another unique feature of this vacuum cleaner is the filtration system. The flask itself with cyclones and a mesh filter when removed is more reminiscent of a part of a spaceship than a household appliance. Indeed, the company’s engineers used a lot of technology when developing such a design, and it is worthy of admiration. Firstly, the solutions used here allow the vacuum cleaner to not lose any power during the cleaning process when the dust container is filled.

Inside the filtration system there are 36 small cyclones that cause the flow to rotate, and vibrating tips prevent the small holes of the cyclones from clogging. The first stage of cleaning is a large cyclone formed by the container flask and a mesh screen; the screen itself is the second stage, which cuts off large but light debris. It sorts the dust through 250 micron slots made in it.

Cyclonic filtration allows you to retain particles measuring 0.3 microns. Those. pollen particles, mold spores and various bacteria will be caught.

Easy to clean dust bin

Engineers paid special attention to the mechanism for clearing the vacuum cleaner container from debris. The user just needs to point the bottom of the cylinder into the trash can and press the button to extend and unlock the lid. At the same time, the silicone cuff cleans the surface of the steel mesh screen from small and large particles, and all the contents are dumped into the trash bin at once.

Our test confirmed the convenience and speed of this method of emptying the dust collector. At the same time, I would like to note that in this case the user has both hands occupied, and dust can only be dumped into a bucket, and not into a separate bag. Also, in our opinion, it would be nice to strengthen the latch to secure the bottom of the dust bin. There will certainly be wear and tear on the plastic in this area, and only long-term tests will show how long it will last.

All attention to convenience

It's time to talk about the operation of the vacuum cleaner itself. As soon as you take the components in your hands, you are convinced of the thoughtfulness, ergonomics and ease of assembly - everything is at their best. The principle is the same everywhere: you press the button and it’s easy to disconnect. To assemble, simply connect and snap into place. The parts fit perfectly, the connection is super reliable. This applies to both the installation of a dust collector to the engine block and a flexible hose with various types of brushes.

All buttons are red - even a child can figure it out. For example, the handle of the cyclone system is interfaced with the handle of the vacuum cleaner. The lock button is located in such a way that you won’t accidentally press it when carrying it.

I really liked the quick connection of the hose: easy movement, click - and the structure is assembled. I was also struck by the thoughtfulness of the design of the transition joint between the rod tube and the flexible hose. A comfortable handle, a trigger for regulating suction power and a hinge that reduces pressure from a hose dangling under your hand.

Functionality

The main purpose of the Dyson V7 Animal Pro vertical vacuum cleaner is to clean carpets and hard smooth surfaces. The motor in the device is digitally controlled, developing 1860 rpm.

To clean the fleecy surface of carpets, palaces, and velor furniture, use a nozzle with a turbo brush. It has its own built-in 20 W motor. The rapid rotation of the roller with nylon bristles breaks up the fur and debris clogged in the pile, is sucked into the nozzle and enters the dust collector.

To clean smooth surfaces such as tiles, laminate, linoleum, parquet, polished wood, you need another lint-free nozzle. This is the main wide brush, also with a built-in 35 W motor.

For cleaning elevated surfaces, vertical panels, and the car interior, only the motor unit is used.

Turbo mode increases suction power, but reduces battery life from 30 minutes to 20. But, as independent reviewers write based on testing results, this is enough to fully clean a “kopeck piece.” Some of the work is done in normal mode, some in turbocharged mode in places where carpets lie. Saving time and energy comes from the unnecessary need to constantly plug in and unplug the vacuum cleaner from the outlet. The second factor is that the Dyson V7 Animal Pro only works when needed, and is turned off by a trigger (for example, when moving to another room).

The noise level, users note, is low, comparable to the noise of a high-speed fan. When the turbo mode is turned on, a whistling sound from the escaping air is added.

After cleaning, a large amount of soft dust collects in the dust collector. A two-level cyclone system 2 Tier Radial in the amount of 13 units is responsible for the thoroughness of capture.

Emptying the dust container is quick; you need to sharply pull the red button to open the hatch. The container should be brought as close to the bucket as possible so that fine dust does not scatter throughout the apartment. Fabric and microfiber filters are washed 1-2 times a month.

For processing narrow openings between the backs of furniture, near walls, along baseboards, there is a narrow crevice nozzle.

Powerful, efficient, but noisy

After everything is assembled, we turn our attention to the controls on the body. There are only two buttons in the form of miniature levers - one for turning on, the second for activating the power cable rewind mechanism. The buttons are very elegant and if handled carelessly there is a risk of breaking them. You can press with either your hand or your foot.

We turn on the unit. The room is filled with a somewhat muffled but high-frequency hum. You can probably hear a cell phone ringing behind such noise, but such a sound cannot be called comfortable. High engine speeds are used to achieve high flow rates - the suction power is 250 aW. This model does not have a regulator for changing the speed of rotation of the engine rotor, so you will have to get used to the noise.

However, this is more than compensated by the pleasure of effective cleaning - the brushes glide easily over both smooth and carpeted floors. There is practically no chance for large and small debris, hair and wool to remain on the floor - cleanliness is achieved in a couple of movements with a brush.

Dmitriy

- March 8, 2021 3/5
Let's start with the good - cleaning. I have never seen my other vacuum cleaners clean so well that the first cleaning had to be extended several times due to lack of battery power. The quality of materials is excellent. The equipment is similar. The holder for attachments and the vacuum cleaner is super... Everything in the assembly does not take up extra space and the vacuum cleaner is easily accessible. Cleaning your sofa from wool and hair is a breeze with an additional brush that can also be used to clean the interior of your car. Now about the cons. Naturally we are talking about the battery. After unpacking and first cleaning, it lasted about 3 minutes... As it turned out, the MAX mode was turned on by default. I put it on charge and instead of the required charging time of 3.5 hours, the battery was charged in 1.5, which alarmed me. The battery may be defective, because fast charging time can then affect rapid discharge. After charging, I tried to continue cleaning, but the charge only lasted for 5 minutes... Official support said that for MAX mode this is normal, in normal mode it should last for 16 minutes, but no more. It turns out that the stated 20 minutes is nothing more than a publicity stunt... or they only clean floors without carpets... Although this model is specifically designed for cleaning carpets, including... Next is cleaning. Standard cleaning is simple enough that everyone can do it, but it is not enough. After standard cleaning, fine dust remains behind the cyclone filter mesh, which is not officially stated on how to remove it. It also does not say how to remove the cyclone unit from the engine. All these questions were easily answered by Chinese bloggers: the block is removed after lightly pressing the white tabs, which is easily done with two Chinese chopsticks. Removing the filter is more difficult, but I do not recommend doing this with a screwdriver, otherwise you will damage the plastic of the filter. I made do with just three plastic cards, thanks to which the plastic remained like new. After removing the filter, you can see a lot of dust and debris that usually accumulates inside. You can also clean the inside of the cyclone by unscrewing the screws, but this is best done when the cyclone is completely clogged. Now about marriage. Having disconnected the cyclone block from the engine block, I discovered that the contacts for transmitting power to the electric brushes were pulled out of the grooves and straightened. The presence of a trace of a previous bend indicates that the defect was created during assembly of the device. The consequence of this could have been a short circuit, fortunately I discovered it in time. The contact tabs were carefully tucked inside where they belonged. Bottom line: the vacuum cleaner is excellent, but you need to understand whether it will suit you or not, because in 15 minutes at most you can clean 50 meters, and that’s without carpets. If it does, be sure to check the contacts on the engine block by removing the cyclone block. If the contacts are charged, then everything is fine. It is also better to check the charging time and battery life, but not in operation, but at idle, otherwise the presentation will be lost and you will not be able to return it if it is defective. PS Pay attention to samples in the store where vacuum cleaners are set to MAX mode, because many potential buyers may like the draft.

Ease of use and comfort

As we have already said, the developers have thought out to the smallest detail the system for attaching attachments and connecting them to the vacuum cleaner. The rod tube, although made of plastic, is very durable. It has a telescopic sliding system, reaching 2 m when extended. The same latches are provided at both ends.

The vacuum cleaner moves easily behind the operator and rotates freely in one place, which is important when cleaning in cramped spaces. Freedom of movement is also ensured by a long power cord - 6.6 m. At this radius, it is no longer difficult to find a second, closer outlet.

The only thing that disappointed me was the inability to attach a rod with a hose and brush to the vacuum cleaner in a vertical position.

The rod is fixed only in a diagonal position and at the same time takes up quite a lot of space. Alternatively, you will have to constantly disassemble the structure to save space. This is done very quickly, since the design allows for this.

Rich equipment

The packaging of this vacuum cleaner can amaze the imagination: the kit includes a total of 6 attachments: 3 main ones - Musclehead, turbo brush, nozzle for hard surfaces. The latter is ideal for parquet. Three additional attachments - Tangle Free, upholstery attachment and combination attachment. The high-tech design of the universal nozzle, which provides automatic switching of Musclehead floor/carpet modes, is impressive.

Turbo brush with carbon fiber bristles

There is also a turbo brush equipped with carbon fiber bristles. For upholstered furniture, the manufacturer has provided a separate brush with a moving block with soft bristles, and for hard and dirty carpets - a mini turbo brush with disks rotating in different directions.

Turbo brush with carbon fiber bristles

Handle with trigger for adjusting suction power with movable rod and hose connector

There is also a turbo brush equipped with carbon fiber bristles. It is suitable for all types of coatings. Tangle-Free (mini turbo brush) - for upholstered furniture and clothing. The combination nozzle with a retractable soft bristle block is a crevice nozzle + a nozzle for cabinet furniture.

Movable nozzle for hard floors

For cleaning hard surfaces, the manufacturer has provided a movable nozzle with soft bristles. It is suitable for both parquet and tiles and linoleum.

Appearance and function

The vacuum cleaner is supplied in a small box made of durable corrugated cardboard. The box does not have a handle, but apparently has a film on the outside that can be attached to a traditional adhesive tape handle without any damage to the appearance of the box itself. The design of the box is strict and informative, the planes clearly describe the main advantages and features of the unit, the equipment is shown with pictures, and the exact weight is indicated so that by weighing you can determine the integrity of the equipment. A minimal amount of plastic is used for packaging, and corrugated cardboard inserts and partitions are used to protect and distribute components.

The vacuum cleaner is delivered in almost ready-to-use form - you just need to remove it from the packaging and connect the currently needed accessories to the main unit.

The main parts of the housing and accessories are made of various types of plastic. Opaque structural elements are mainly made of ABS, transparent ones are made of polycarbonate (dust collector cup, for example).

The surface of ABS parts is mirror-smooth, apparently without coating, but minor damage and scratches on them are invisible, since the plastic is not too light and not too dark, but gray (with a slight tint of brown) and slightly silver, in places with streaks due to variations in concentration filler.

The small cyclone unit has a dark gray silver scratch-resistant coating on the outside.

The inner cup of the large cyclone is made of purple elastic plastic, and the extension pipe is made of aluminum, anodized on the outside and also purple.

In general, the DC62 line of vacuum cleaners, in addition to the one we tested, includes two more models, differing in names, colors of parts and equipment. Judging by the information from the manufacturer's website, there is a DC62 Origin - with a silver pipe and without a mini-electric brush, as well as a DC62 Up Top with a red pipe, also without a mini-electric brush, but with a special nozzle for cleaning high surfaces.

The transparent body of the dust collector allows you to assess the degree of its filling at first glance. The bottom of the dust bin is made to fold down; to do this, just pull down the red slider.

The second press releases the dust collector cup itself - it can be removed along with the inlet pipe. You need to assemble it strictly in the reverse order: first fix the glass in place, and only then close the bottom. A pre-motor filter made of fibrous material is inserted into the hole at the top, surrounded by 15 mini-cyclones.

When it becomes dirty, it must be rinsed under water and dried. The parts described make up a four-stage filtration system. On the first, large and heavy debris is separated from the air in a large cyclone, on the second, large and light debris (wool, fluff, etc.) is retained by a mesh on the inner cup of the dust collector, on the third, a group of small cyclones separates the smallest dust and air, the first is dumped into a dust collector container, and the second goes to the fan through a pre-motor filter (the fourth stage of filtration), which traps everything that has managed to leak out. There is no after-engine filter as such, there is only coarse foam rubber that breaks up the air stream and somewhat reduces noise. It, foam rubber, can be seen behind the exhaust grilles at the end of the motor block. Note that all joints of detachable structural elements, pipes and nozzles through which air passes from the surface to be cleaned to the fan have seals made of rubber or elastic plastic, so parasitic air leakage is negligible. Reliable connection of the pipe with the pipe/nozzles and the pipe with the nozzles is ensured by snap fasteners. In this case, the latches switch to stable closed and open positions. There is no particular need for this, since they are conveniently located, but this allows you to separate the push-pull actions in time when disconnecting the pipe/pipe/nozzle.

The battery is located at the bottom of the handle.

This arrangement of the motor, handle and battery makes it possible to bring the center of gravity of the vacuum cleaner closer to the user’s hand, resulting in a reduction in the amount of effort required to vacuum vertical and high objects. Actually, the vacuum cleaner itself, as well as the pipe and simple (without motors) attachments, are lightweight, although seemingly reliable. Our measurements of the mass of parts gave the following results:

DetailWeight, g
Main unit1210
Electric brush585
Mini electric brush330
Crevice nozzle40
Combination nozzle60
Pipe305

Simple (without a motor) nozzles are, firstly, a typical crevice nozzle.

It is long enough to reach into hidden places where dust accumulates, and with a number of holes on the side surface that help maintain the air flow necessary for the operation of the cyclones and cooling the motor while completely blocking the inlet of the nozzle. The length from the tip of the crevice nozzle with the pipe installed to the trigger is about 145 cm, that is, this is how much the user can extend his arm as much as possible when using this vacuum cleaner. Secondly, a combined nozzle with a wider inlet and a sliding brush made of relatively long and soft nylon bristles.

The main wide brush head has a relatively low profile and is equipped with a hinge with two degrees of freedom.

As a result, this brush can be slipped under extended pieces of furniture with little clearance. A brush with four rows of bristles rotating from an electric motor is designed to assist the air flow by mechanical action on the surface to be cleaned. At the same time, the black, dense rows are formed from soft carbon fiber bristles that retain their shape well, and the purple, slightly looser rows are made from thicker and stiffer nylon bristles. During operation, the transparent cap allows you to determine whether the brush is rotating (it stops when there is increased resistance to rotation), and during breaks you can see how much and what is wrapped around the brush and whether it’s time to clean it. To remove the brush shield, you need to use a coin (not included in the delivery) to turn the latch; with the same coin you can unscrew the plug from the end to pull the brush out.

Velor strips are glued to the body of the nozzle, which help maintain the necessary air flow on smooth surfaces from below (they do not allow the brush to stick tightly), and on the front they form a safety bumper for furniture. Four small rollers help the brush slide across the floor, one on a spring-loaded lever (this is a mechanism for blocking the free rotation of the nozzle around the axis of the pipe when raised).

Additionally, the “purple” package includes an electric brush of a similar design, only narrower, without a hinge (but with a rotating casing) and with nylon bristles in sparse tufts.

, by which we mean collecting hair, animal fur and dirt from upholstered furniture and hard-to-reach places.

The vacuum cleaner is controlled by a trigger on the handle. The trigger is pulled - the motor spins, not pulled - it doesn’t spin. There is no fixation. Additionally, while the trigger is pressed, you can press the round button at the end of the motor unit, then its rim will glow blue when the vacuum cleaner is operating, and the vacuum cleaner itself will operate in high power mode.

The next press of the button at the end (also with the trigger pressed, that is, when the vacuum cleaner is running) will switch the motor to normal power and turn off the blue backlight. This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a digitally controlled brushless motor fan. The impeller and the engine itself are the company’s own development. Let us remind you that in comparison with cheaper brushed motors, more expensive brushless ones have the following advantages: higher efficiency and reliability, increased service life (no wearing brushes and commutator), reduced operating noise, reduced level of electromagnetic interference.

On both sides of the handle on the battery pack there are status indicators that light up blue when the vacuum cleaner is running if the battery charge is at a sufficient level for operation, flash blue when the battery is low, and flash/light orange when the battery is overheated and flash red when the battery is faulty. When operating, a low charge and a malfunction are also indicated by a flashing blue indicator around the power level selection button. The vacuum cleaner is charged from the supplied power adapter, the coaxial connector from which is inserted into the mating socket on the back of the handle.

When charging, the indicators on the vacuum cleaner glow blue, and when completed, they turn off. Store the vacuum cleaner conveniently suspended on a special bracket.

This bracket is screwed to the wall or other vertical surface at two points.

The vacuum cleaner is easily inserted into and removed from the bracket, and is charged on it, since the connector from the power adapter is fixed in the bracket, and when installing the vacuum cleaner, this connector fits exactly into the mating connector on the handle. The length of the power cable from the point of exit from the bracket to the adapter itself is 145 cm. At the bottom of the bracket there are sockets for the crevice and combined nozzle. When the bracket is installed at a sufficient height, the vacuum cleaner can be stored with the pipe installed and one of the electric brush attachments (unfortunately, there was no room for the second).

Note that the vacuum cleaner itself and even the battery have a two-year warranty. If necessary, the battery can be replaced by the user himself (replacement instructions are included with the new battery), for which it is enough to unscrew two self-tapping screws.

The battery is equipped with a self-diagnosis function - when the trigger is pulled, the indicator on a faulty battery will flash red a certain number of times, corresponding to the type of fault. We've sorted out the description of the appearance, let's proceed to presenting the test results.

Testing

Taking the vacuum cleaner in your hand, you immediately feel its light weight and how comfortable it is to hold it in your hand. The moment of switching on - do not forget, since the obvious return of rotation hints at the significant power of the motor and the high speed of its rotation, while the vibration in the hand is minimal (excellent balance), and the noise, as subjectively perceived, mainly arises from the air flow itself the motor is relatively quiet. And all this is already in normal power mode! In high power mode, the energy of this mini vacuum cleaner is simply off the charts. But he doesn’t work in it for long - 6 minutes 36 seconds.

with a wide brush in real use and
5 minutes 57 seconds
with a crevice tool in a test without additional resistance.
Normal power allowed the vacuum cleaner to be used with a wide brush for 17 minutes 43 seconds
. This time and the efficiency of normal power are enough for everyday cleaning of an apartment area of about 40-60 m². High power - for maximalists who do not accept compromises, or for normal people who need to quickly clean something small but very dirty.

Despite the fact that in our test room with carpet on the floor, robotic vacuum cleaners are constantly spinning and a regular vacuum cleaner is periodically used (that is, everything is relatively clean in appearance), the baby DC62 managed to collect a lot of fine dust - deposited on shoes and from the window as a product of soil erosion cover - and other debris. Apparently, carbon fiber bristles and powerful airflow complement each other well. By the way, during the first manipulations with the brush, a visible number of carbon fiber bristles came out of it, but that was all over; subsequently, we did not observe any signs of active “shedding.” Having finished with a relatively clean room, Animalpro and I moved into the hallway and the “public” part of the office space with a large flow of people passing by and “welcome” mats on the floor. Yes, houses are probably usually cleaner and the composition of the garbage is different. But there were no problems filling the dust collector. The test revealed the following:

When cleaning the floor, the vacuum cleaner must be held at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, so heavy dirt accumulates in the front of the hopper and reaches the inlet level before filling to the MAX mark.

Then it starts to flow down the pipe when the suction is turned off; the damper in the pipe does not help. That is, you need to empty the dust container according to need, and not according to the mark.

The hinge at the junction of the brush and the pipe is not completely sealed, so grains of sand get there and the hinge sticks a little and creaks.

Emptying the dust container is very convenient and contact with dust can be minimized in most cases, since you can immerse the vacuum cleaner in a garbage bag/bucket, unfasten the lid and tap lightly - almost everything will fall out of the main container of the dust container and from the fine cyclones.

Something may get caught in the mesh on the walls of the inner glass, and if it does not come off when tapped, you will have to remove the transparent container and clean the mesh with a brush (you can use a combination brush from the kit).

If you're not used to it, you won't be able to put the container back quickly, but a couple of workouts will eliminate this problem. The efficiency of fine cleaning cyclones is very high, since after several cleaning cycles the pre-motor filter remained seemingly pristinely clean and we have never washed it. Note that when the vacuum cleaner is turned off, this filter tends to fall out of the cyclone body if the vacuum cleaner is accidentally turned over.

The rotating brush wraps around a lot of hair and threads (if they are present on the surface to be cleaned), however, it is relatively easy to clean simply with your hands, since the brush roller is relatively large in diameter and has grooves. In principle, nothing can be wound tightly around this roller so that it cannot be removed with your fingers.

The same is true for a small electric brush - hair wraps around it, but is easily removed with your fingers, since the sparse tufts of bristles do not get in the way. This brush has strong suction to smooth surfaces, so it is more convenient to use it on carpets/carpets or furniture with fabric upholstery.

In high power mode, especially if you use it continuously until the batteries are completely discharged, the case gets very hot, so much so that your hand is already uncomfortable. An image from an infrared camera allows the temperature distribution to be assessed (after continuous operation at high power with a crevice tool and without a human hand on the handle).

The battery compartment gets the most heat, but the handle at the top also gets hot. In normal power mode, the heating is less, the hand, however, still sweats a little and the slippery smooth plastic of the handle becomes unpleasant to the touch, but the grip is very reliable, so the vacuum cleaner has no chance of slipping out of the hand. Yes, and during operation, the vacuum cleaner can accumulate a lot of static electricity, this must be kept in mind.

The exceptionally comfortable bracket, as well as the compactness and lightness of the DC62, really change the perception of the typical use case for a vacuum cleaner. The constant availability and readiness of this device for work allows you to transfer cleaning from a long (and tedious) process with a preparatory stage (a regular “wired” vacuum cleaner needs to be taken out, connected, dragged to the right place) into the category of tasks that can be done at any free minute and at any time. to the extent really necessary. It seemed that something was dirty somewhere - I took the vacuum cleaner and cleaned it, something woke up - I took off the vacuum cleaner with one hand and put it away, while with the other I continued to hold the phone to my ear. Fast and easy.

Here are the remaining test results. 2 hours 52 minutes to fully charge

, while
the maximum consumption reached 23 W.
A charged but connected vacuum cleaner consumes 0.2 W , however, this is the consumption of the adapter itself. Please note that the vacuum cleaner does not turn on with the adapter connected.

We measured the noise level when placing the vacuum cleaner on the floor in the working position with a slight deviation from the vertical relative to the extension pipe and with a wide brush or crevice nozzle pressed to the floor (commercial carpet). The sound level meter microphone was placed in a horizontal position at a height of 1.2 m from the floor and at a distance of 1 m from the vacuum cleaner motor unit and was directed at the vacuum cleaner.

Power/attachmentSound pressure level, dBA
Normal/Main Brush69,6
Maximum/main brush73,9
Normal/slit69,1
Maximum/slit75,2

Let's give the sound pressure level (SPL) in the range of 20-20000 Hz in 1/3 octave bands, with the main active brush:

With crevice tool:

The vacuum cleaner is relatively loud, but the main contribution is made by the noise from the fan motor and the noise from air movement; both sources do not have pronounced maximums, the nature of the noise is even and not very annoying. When the active brush operates on relatively hard surfaces, a low-frequency hum is added, but the noise does not acquire unpleasant properties.

We determined suction power (what it is and how we measure it, described in a separate article) when operating the vacuum cleaner at two power levels without a pipe and nozzles. The photo below shows the stand configuration when working with this vacuum cleaner:

The dependence of suction power on the created vacuum is shown in the graph below:

Note that at the first point, where the vacuum is minimal, the valve is completely open and the resistance of the stand to air flow is minimal. At the last point, the damper is closed and the suction power is zero, however, the vacuum cleaner goes into emergency operation mode - it turns on and off several times, then turns off and flashes the mode switching button while the indicator on the battery is on. As a result, we did not determine the vacuum at zero air flow. The tightness of the air system of the vacuum cleaner is very high, so in the maximum power mode there is no drop in suction power with increasing vacuum. It is also possible that in this mode, the increased vacuum presses some seals, which further increases the tightness. In maximum power mode, the operating suction power can easily reach 130 AW, since in this case the air flow is more than 50% of the initial one. This power is enough, even without using an active brush. In normal power mode, the operating suction power can reach about 40 AU; here a rotating brush definitely won’t hurt, especially in the case of a wide nozzle.
