What is a geyser coffee maker and how does it work?
The body of the geyser coffee maker consists of a lower and upper part, screwed onto each other. The lower part acts as a reservoir for water; the number of cups that can be prepared in one approach depends on its volume. After pouring water, a coffee filter is inserted into the lower part, into which coffee is poured. The coffee filter is a structural part of the coffee maker and is not replaceable. The top part is screwed on top and the coffee maker is put on fire or turned on.
The operating principle of the coffee maker is based on natural steam pressure. When water boils, steam is formed which, rising upward, squeezes the water into the upper compartment. The water is saturated with coffee, passing through a coffee filter, and a ready-made aromatic drink enters the upper part.
Material of manufacture
Some people are wary of cooking in aluminum cookware. However, modern health standards only require that you avoid storing prepared foods in aluminum containers. At the same time, manufacturers, as a rule, offer a range of models made from high-quality 18/10 stainless steel. Such coffee makers are easier to clean, but we must not forget that steel conducts heat much better and the dishes will always be scalding hot. In addition, steel geysers are somewhat more expensive. Is a geyser or drip coffee maker better?
