But choosing a specific solution can be difficult if you do not know the main aspects that need to be taken into account and do not understand the markings indicating the features of a particular model. In the review, we will first figure out what you should pay attention to when choosing, and then we will tell you what is encrypted in the equipment labeling.

Ovens from the Bosch brand will allow you to cook a variety of dishes in your kitchen.

Types of Bosch ovens

On the domestic market of household appliances intended for cooking, Bosch offers several types of ovens: gas and electric models, compact and equipped with a microwave oven.

Gas models

There are 6 models in this category: “HGN22H350” and “HGN22F350”, “HGN10G060” and “HGN10G050”, as well as “HGN10E060” and “HGN10E050”. The limited volume of offers is due to low consumer demand for this category of devices, associated with the need for gas networks at the intended location of such equipment.

Electric models

This equipment segment includes devices of a built-in design with an independent type of control. The standard 600mm height range includes over 140 models with downward or side opening doors, different design styles, specifications and available options. In the category of compact ovens with a height of 450 mm, there are 6 models: “CBG633NS1” and “CSG656BS1”, “CMG636BB1” and “CMG636BS1”, as well as “CMG6764B1” and “CMG6764S1”.

Models with microwave

One of the options available on electric ovens of various sizes is a microwave oven, which significantly expands the capabilities of such devices. The manufacturer informs about the presence of this function in the technical documentation, so if you want to get two appliances in one housing, you must carefully study the accompanying documents or consult with a specialist in Bosch brand kitchen appliances.

Marking of Bosch ovens and their interpretation

Knowing how the marking of Bosch equipment is deciphered, you can find out the main technical parameters of the model and its equipment without the help of specialists. For clarity, let’s decipher the “Bosch HSG656RS1” oven (Figure 3).

What to look for when choosing

The choice of a specific oven model is influenced by the following indicators:

  • The nature of use depends on the type of energy source (gas, electricity).

FOR YOUR INFORMATION!

Gas models can be connected to a liquefied gas cylinder, which makes mobile use of such equipment possible, as well as in places where there is no centralized power supply.

  • Placement - in residential buildings that do not have gas supply, there is no point in buying gas models.

In addition, important selection criteria are parameters such as:

  • technical characteristics: geometric dimensions and energy consumption class, a set of basic and additional functions, as well as electrical power and gas consumption per unit of time;

IMPORTANT!

The working volume of the frying chamber depends on the geometric dimensions of the oven, and it is this that determines the amount of food prepared in one batch, which is important for a large family.

  • the presence of additional options and features that expand the functionality of the device: steamer and microwave oven, self-cleaning and heating of ready-made dishes, cooling fan and temperature probe, etc.

Telescopic guides make it convenient to load dishes and remove ready-made dishes.

Level selection

The levels are calculated using the guides on the walls of the oven, on which a baking sheet or wire rack is placed. Often we intuitively choose the middle level. And we do the right thing if we need to bake dishes evenly, because in most cases this is exactly what is required. But there are nuances. When an almost finished dish needs to be browned (for example, chicken legs), move the grill to a higher level for a few minutes. And use the lower level when you need to thoroughly dry the product from below - for example, pizza or an open pie.

Operating instructions for Bosch oven

Each oven model comes with instructions for its operation, which describe the operating instructions of the device in different modes of its use, indicate safety rules, as well as possible malfunctions and ways to eliminate them. In order to correctly use Bosch equipment, you need to know the symbols located on the control panel and what modes they correspond to. The most common ones, as well as what function and temperature they correspond to, are shown in the following figures:

Among the basic safety rules, the following requirements should be noted:

  • when using gas-powered models, the connection to the gas riser must be made by a representative of a specialized organization dealing with gas equipment;
  • when using electric models, the oven body must be grounded, which is achieved by connecting to an electrical network with a voltage of 220 Volts, made according to a three-wire circuit, with 3 grounding conductors;
  • Do not store or heat flammable substances and objects inside the oven;
  • When used, the inner surface of the frying chamber and the utensils in which food is cooked are heated to a high temperature, which must be taken into account when adding food and removing ready-made dishes.

The presence of convection ensures uniform heating in the oven chamber and, as a result, high-quality baking of prepared dishes

High quality

Regardless of which oven model you prefer, when purchasing an oven from the Bosch brand, you are guaranteed to receive high-quality equipment that is reliable, durable and with a wide range of functions. Cooking any, even the most complex and exotic dishes with such an oven is a simple and pleasant experience.

The nuances of repairing Bosch ovens

Bosch brand appliances are famous for their quality and reliability, however, there are situations when the device breaks down and requires repair.

IMPORTANT!

You should not carry out repairs yourself if the equipment’s warranty period has not expired, because... In case of damage to the seals, repairs at the service center will be carried out under general conditions.

After the warranty period has passed, in the event of a malfunction of the oven, repairs can be carried out independently, and the nature of the failure can be determined using self-diagnosis of the device.

To determine a malfunction, the manufacturer programs the devices in such a way that if there is a malfunction, an error code corresponding to the malfunction appears on the display. The main error codes and their causes are shown in the following table.

Error codeCause of malfunction
Er2Problems in the external electrical network or connection to it.
Er3Oven overheating.
Er8Malfunctions in internal electrical circuits.
E005The protective relay does not work.
E011Sticking buttons or control sensors.
E115The temperature in the frying chamber exceeds the permissible values.
E305Inconsistency of internal electronic control devices.

Repair of Bosch brand household appliances, of course, can be performed by a person who understands electronics, but for the average user, the best solution to this issue would be to contact the company’s service center or another organization specializing in the repair of household appliances.

Built-in Bosch appliances are not only high quality, but also ease of use, as well as long service life

Additional energy saving measures

As mentioned above, during cooking the cabinet itself maintains the set temperature using electronics. But there are also common ways to slightly reduce energy consumption:

  • turn on BOSCH for preheating only if this is written in the recipe or tables;
  • When baking, use only dark molds, as they absorb heat very well;
  • the door must be tightly closed during cooking;
  • if there is a need to prepare several pies, then place them in the cabinet one after the other: when the first one is ready, the cabinet will remain hot and the cooking time for the second pie will be noticeably reduced;
  • If you are preparing dishes that need to stay inside the cabinet for a long time, then you need to turn it off about 10 minutes beforehand. before the end of the cooking time: the residual heat will bring the dish to “standard”.
