Possible equipment diseases
Some users who have absolutely no understanding of the complexities of household appliances call service centers for every little thing. But many problems can be solved on your own:
- water does not enter the unit;
- water does not drain;
- The product freezes when turned on.
In the above cases, you can try to revive the equipment yourself. First, check whether the water supply tap is open, then check whether the door is closed tightly, inspect the outlet, maybe the reason is its malfunction. Water may not drain due to clogged filters or connection pipes in the drainage system. If everything is in order there, you need a wizard to diagnose all nodes.

Aquastop worked
Does error code E15 appear on the display? This code signals that there is a leak somewhere, so the water intake is stopped - a typical “disease” of dishwashers of this brand. The problem can be solved quite simply: disconnect from the network, then carefully tilt the unit body to drain the water from the pan, and the sensor float will return to its original position.
If error code E15 occurs, carefully move the car in different directions - this is often enough for the stuck float to return to its original state and the code disappears from the display.
Error E15
The second common problem is the gaskets at the junction of the inlet hose with the machine and water supply system. If they are installed incorrectly, water will leak out, so when connecting the machine, you must carefully read the instructions.
Most common damage
According to statistics, only 1/3 of all damage is accompanied by an error code. Among them there are breakdowns that occur most often. There are also malfunctions that occur much less frequently. It all depends on compliance with operating rules, as well as on individual design solutions and the quality of parts manufactured.
To understand the processes occurring inside the dishwasher, you need to know its structure and operating procedure. Readers can read in more detail about how PMMs from Bosch, Siemens, Electrolux, Indesit, Ariston and many others work and operate in this material.
The dishwasher does not turn on, freezes or turns off during operation
The dishwasher may not turn on for several reasons:
- there is no voltage or there is overvoltage in the electrical network;
- the network filter is faulty;
- The heating element or thermistor (temperature sensor) does not work;
- The control unit (hereinafter also referred to as the ECU) has failed.
PMM freezes during operation occur because:
- due to poor water pressure, water does not fill the tank within a certain time;
- the machine is overloaded with dishes;
- water does not drain due to a blockage in the sewer;
- The control module is faulty.
All causes, except for ECU malfunctions, can be identified and eliminated independently. To do this, you need to have a multimeter at your disposal and determine whether there is supply voltage in the socket and at the input to the PMM network filter, and also diagnose the power cord. The water pressure in the water supply, the condition of the sewage system and the load level of dishes in the machine are also easy to check.
The serviceability of the power button and surge protector can also be easily checked with a multimeter. If it freezes, try disconnecting the PMM from the network by unplugging the cord from the socket. Wait a while (15-20 minutes) and turn on the device again. In this way, it is often possible to restore the operation of the dishwasher.
There was water in the pan
Liquid leakage occurs due to several reasons:
- clogging of the main filter in the PMM chamber;
- water tank overflowing;
- leakage of one of the pipes;
- depressurization of the water circulation circuit;
- Damage or blockage of the drain pump.
Such incidents lead to the activation of the Aquastop protective system and the appearance of error code i30 in Electrolux, Zanussi and AEG dishwashers. Siemens and Bosch dishwashers give errors E15 or F15. Read more about this malfunction here.
To fix your dishwasher yourself, unplug it. First, check the degree of clogging of the garbage filter and rinse it. Then roll the PMM out of the opening, remove the side panels and tilt it to carefully drain the water from the pan. After this, the sensor should not block the operation of the PMM.
Now you need to find the source of the leak. Turn on the machine to run a quick wash program and use a flashlight to find where the water is flowing into the pan, illuminating the space inside the body with the flashlight.
It may be enough to tighten the clamps on one of the pipes. And if the pump leaks, it will have to be replaced. The overflow of water into the tank often occurs due to a faulty or unadjusted water level sensor (hereinafter also referred to as the pressure switch). Readers can familiarize themselves with the procedure for disassembling the case and eliminating a leaking glass in a Bosch dishwasher by watching this video:
Liquid does not drain down the drain
This symptom indicates a clog has formed inside or outside the dishwasher. One of the main signs is a sudden stop during operation, sometimes accompanied by noise from the pump trying to remove water.
So, the following parts are susceptible to clogging:
- garbage filter;
- drain pump;
- drain hose;
- sewerage
To inspect the Bosch PMM filter and wash it, remove the part from the bottom of the basket. There is a lid at the depth of the seat cup where the filter element is inserted. The pump impeller rotates underneath it. Remove the cover by unscrewing the screw using a TORX screwdriver. Check the rotation of the impeller by turning it with your finger. If a foreign object gets into the pump and jams the impeller, try to remove it with tweezers.
To detect a blockage in the drain hose and wash it, you will have to disassemble the PMM housing. The repair consists of disconnecting the hose from the drain pump and sewer and removing the blockage with a strong stream of water.
Check the drain: if it is clogged, water from the kitchen sink will drain slowly into the siphon. A plumber can help you when clearing a clogged drain. If you want to do the repairs yourself, use chemicals, such as "Mole".
Water is not drawn from the tap
If the dishwasher stops filling with water, there are several reasons for this:
- the filling valve has failed;
- the mesh filter (or filters) at the dishwasher inlet is clogged with debris;
- water has leaked into the PMM pan or the Aquastop system has failed;
- the water level sensor is faulty;
- the door lock is broken or the door is not closed tightly;
- there are problems in the operation of the control unit.
First, check if there is water pressure in the water supply. Someone may have closed the valve in front of the inlet hose. If everything is in order, you can proceed to checking and cleaning the strainers in the filler path. Many models have two. One is located at the inlet of the solenoid valve of the Aquastop system, the other is at the junction of the inlet hose with the fitting in the PMM housing, at the inlet of the inlet valve controlled by the ECU.
If the dishwasher leaks, the flow of water into the PMM stops as a result of the protection system being activated. Sometimes the cause is a breakdown of the valve itself, the Aquastop sensor, or the float “sticking” at the top point after the leak has been eliminated.
The inlet valve can shut off the water if its winding is burned out, there is no contact in the control circuit, the water level sensor is faulty, or the control unit is faulty. The integrity of the valves is checked with a multimeter: the winding resistance should be in the region of several kOhms, depending on the model. If the winding is burned out, the tester will show an open circuit.
If the pressure switch is faulty or the tube going into the water container is clogged with debris, it will provide erroneous information about the water level to the control unit. As a result, the ECU will block the flow of water or it will flood the PMM, getting into the pan. Then the drain pump will immediately turn on to pump out the liquid.
In conclusion, I would like to say that there are many reasons for breakdowns, but you can eliminate most of them yourself. Unfortunately, it is impossible to describe all the breakdowns in one article. Call a specialist only when you cannot perform the repair yourself.
The machine does not turn on
Suspicion immediately falls on the mechanism of the power button: although it is designed for 1 million activations, there are different cases due to weak contacts. If the home handyman knows how to use a multimeter, then this is not a problem: ring the contact groups to make sure they are working properly.
It is worth checking the serviceability of the power cable and socket - sometimes repairing a Bosch machine with your own hands begins with these activities. If everything is fine, then you need to test the control module. This cannot be done at home - you need a professional technician from a service center who will dismantle the required part and test it in the laboratory.

Warranty withdrawal
The manufacturer's warranty does not apply if:
- the requirements specified in the instructions were not met;
- the product was damaged due to improper transportation, installation or operation;
- malfunctions occurred due to overload;
- changes have been made to the design of the product by unauthorized persons;
- there are no product or serial numbers or they are illegible;
- the deficiencies were caused by reasons beyond the control of the manufacturer, including: voltage surges in the electrical network (according to GOST 13109-97 and local state standards), natural disasters and fires, the actions of domestic and wild animals, as well as the ingress of foreign objects and liquids ;
- damage to parts and components occurred due to natural wear and tear, for example, a lamp burned out or the filter was dirty.
According to the law, equipment has a service life of 10 years from the date of sale. Rules for the safe and effective use of products are set out in the operating instructions.
Water does not flow in or drain out
We have discussed one reason in detail - this concerns the Aquastop system, the second may be due to a clogged filter. Cleaning it can be done quite easily without special technical knowledge - unscrew the fill hose, carefully pull out the mesh filter and rinse it under running water.
The filling valve located immediately behind the filter may also be faulty, but it is not repaired, but simply replaced with a new device. Details of the repair can be seen in videos, of which there are many on the Internet.
Sometimes this happens: water enters the unit, but the machine freezes in the rinse mode, in this case there are only three reasons:
- The drain filter is clogged - it can be easily solved on your own.
- The water drain hose is kinked.
- The pump requires repair or replacement.
In the first case, everything is simple: at the bottom of the working chamber (tank) there is a coarse mesh filter, and a fine filter element is located nearby. It will take you no more than 10 minutes to remove and clean.
You can find out the condition of the hose by looking behind the car and visually determining its condition; if everything is normal, then the problem is not in it. To get to the pump, you will have to disassemble almost the entire car, since it is located at the very bottom; in addition, the car is turned upside down. Typical pump malfunctions are clogging with foreign objects, and the plastic impeller very often breaks or rotates on the axis due to blocking by a foreign object.
Important! Replacing the pump is a fairly complex dishwasher repair, so realistically assess your capabilities before you start disassembling the equipment.
Before replacing the drain pump, it is better to ring the voltage supply wires to ensure their integrity. If you find a defect or break, replace it, but observe the cross-section size.

Differences in the device between different models
When understanding the question of how a dishwasher works, it should be noted that some models have a slightly different structure. As technology develops, technology gains more and more new capabilities. They allow:
- Significantly improve the quality of dishwashing;
- Reduce the amount of detergents used;
- Reduce program execution time;
- Create conditions for gentle washing of “delicate” dishes;
- Provide dishwashers with new useful functions and options;
- Almost completely automate the washing process.
To do this, new modules are added to the dishwasher device.
For example, Bosch dishwashers contain heat exchangers. They are filled with water and create ideal conditions for washing thin-walled dishes
– due to their high heat capacity, they prevent temperature fluctuations in the working chamber. The heat exchangers are not visible from the outside, as they are installed inside the dishwashers.
The Electrolux ESF 9420 LOW dishwasher is equipped with a turbo dryer, so its design is somewhat different from other units. If we disassemble the device and examine its internal “guts,” we will find an additional heating element and a fan - this combination creates a flow of hot air that enters the workspace and dries the utensils placed there.
Many other devices are also equipped with turbo dryers, allowing you to dry the kitchen utensils stored in them using hot air.
Also in the internal structure of some dishwashers there are sensors for determining water hardness
. They operate automatically, independently dosing salt consumption. As a rule, only the most expensive models are endowed with such functionality - Asko B 5869 XL (costs from 129 thousand rubles), Miele G 6200 SC (from 89 thousand rubles), Zigmund & Shtain DW69.6009X (a surprisingly inexpensive device, its the price is from 36 thousand rubles).
We will not consider additional baskets for cups, cutlery and other kitchen utensils as important parts in the design of dishwashers. In addition, they are found in the configuration of only a few devices.
Sensors for the presence of rinse aid and salt - they are located in the corresponding compartments and connected to the control board. As soon as they detect the absence of drugs, the corresponding indicator on the control panel will light up
. Moreover, the presence of detergent is not controlled in any way - the dishwasher can easily start empty.
The water purity sensor is not found in all dishwashers, but only in some. In their device we will see a special optical sensor that evaluates the transparency of the water when rinsing. As soon as the amount of dirt is reduced to a minimum, the sensor will indicate the end of the rinse. Thus, it guarantees the impeccable cleanliness of your dishes (we do not take accidental misfires into account).
The last item available in a limited number of dishwashers is the floor beam indicator. It allows you to assess at what stage the PM is at the moment - in working or standby mode (usually the beam changes its color). In some models, the beam is replaced by a time projector - the time remaining until the end of a given cycle is displayed on the floor.
Knowledge of the structure of dishwashers will allow you to better assess the capabilities of this equipment and obtain the initial information necessary for repairing dishwashers.
The lock Fig.2 is responsible for closing the door (see number 15 in Figure 1). If the door is properly closed, the lock closes the contacts. This is a “door closed” signal to the processor.
Having received the “door closed” signal, the processor sends a command to the drain pump Fig. 3 (in Figure 1, see the number “drain water”. The drain pump begins to perform its function. At the same time, the processor with a frequency of 5-6 seconds, for 2 -3 minutes, gives the command “water fill”.
The water fill valve Fig. 4 (see number 17 in Figure 1) opens and water flows into the dishwasher. The drain pump works constantly, pumping out water. After a certain period of time, the drain pump stops working.
The rinsing operation from the previous dishwashing has been completed.
THE PROCESSOR SUBMITS THE “WATER SET” COMMAND:
Do-it-yourself dishwasher repair. The water fill valve opens. The dishwasher is filling with water. The level (quantity) of water intake is controlled by the water level sensor Fig.5 (see number 7 in Fig. 1).
The sensor is configured to trigger at a certain amount of water (sufficient for high-quality dishwashing). When a sufficient amount of water has been collected, the sensor sends a signal to the processor.
The processor receives a signal from the water level sensor and closes the water intake valve.
3.4. THE PROCESSOR SUBMITS THE COMMAND “START WASHING”:
DIY dishwasher repair, DIY dishwasher repair.
The circulation pump Fig. 6 starts working (see number 12 in Fig. 1).
The circulation pump creates enough pressure in the dishwasher to circulate water. Water enters the impellers (sprinklers) Fig. 7 (see number 3 in Figure 1), then into the holes of the impellers.
From the holes of the impellers, water with a certain pressure force washes the dishes loaded into the baskets Fig. 8 (see number 1 in Fig. 1). The impellers begin to rotate, which facilitates the dishwashing process.
The dispenser (Fig. 9) opens (see number 16 in Figure 1) with detergent. Detergent ends up in the dishwasher.
THE PROCESSOR SENDS THE “WATER HEATING” COMMAND:
The mains voltage is supplied to the heating element Fig.10 (see number 20 in Fig. 1). The water is heated to the level corresponding to the selected washing program.
The water heating temperature is controlled by the water heating temperature sensor Fig.11 (see number 4 in Fig. 1). When the water temperature reaches the required value, the sensor informs the processor about this.
The processor disconnects the heating element from the power supply, thereby stopping the heating. Washing the dishes continues for some time. The washing time is controlled by the processor, according to the selected dishwashing program.
6.7. THE PROCESSOR SUBMITS THE “WATER DRAIN” COMMAND:
The dishes are washed. The drain pump Fig. 3 starts working (see number 8 in Figure 1), pumping out water. The water has been pumped out. The processor is informed about the lack of water by the water level sensor Fig.5 (see number 7 in Figure 1). The next operation is the rinsing operation.
8.9. THE PROCESSOR SENDS THE “WATER FILL” COMMAND FOR RINSE:
The water inlet valve is supplied with mains voltage. The valve opens, allowing water to enter the dishwasher. The water level sensor monitors the filling of a sufficient amount of water.
When the amount of water in the dishwasher reaches the required amount, the water level sensor informs the processor that “water is full.”
The processor disconnects the water fill valve from the electrical network, thereby stopping the flow of water into the dishwasher. The processor turns on the circulation pump. Water under a certain pressure enters the rocker arms (sprinklers), and the process of rinsing the dishes begins.
The processor issues a command to turn on the water heating. The water heating level is controlled by a temperature sensor. When the water temperature reaches the required value (the processor is informed about this by the temperature sensor), the heating process stops.
The rinsing process itself continues for some time. The rinsing time is specified in the program, which the processor reads from external or internal memory.
THE PROCESSOR SENDS THE “DRAIN WATER” COMMAND AFTER RINSE:
At the end of the rinsing phase, the drain pump turns on. The water draining stage begins.
THE PROCESSOR SENDS THE “DRYING” COMMAND:
The drying process begins. To dry dishes, cold tap water is automatically poured into the heat exchanger. All moisture quickly condenses on the cold left wall of the washing chamber and flows into the drain.
After the drying process (15-20 minutes), the drain pump is turned on to drain the remaining water after drying. Then you hear a signal that the washing process has ended.
That's all. This is the basic scheme by which almost all dishwashers operate. After studying the structure of the dishwasher, you can repair the dishwasher yourself.
Additions and deviations from the functions of the main modes are nothing more than additional services from the manufacturer.
No quality dishwashing
Quite often, users complain about poor quality dishwashing. The reason often lies in the fact that the operating mode was set incorrectly, but sometimes the machine is at fault due to clogged injectors or other annoying malfunctions.
The entire calculation of washing quality is based on the rocker nozzles. The flow speed sometimes exceeds 150 km/h; due to the strong pressure, these main elements of the working area rotate and knock off all the dirt and food debris from the dishes with elastic jets.
The main reasons for low pressure are as follows:
- clogging of the holes on the rocker arms;
- the coarse or fine filter is clogged - because of this, the required amount of water does not return to the tank to ensure normal pressure;
- temporary wear of the circulation pump impeller, so it cannot produce normal pressure;
- low engine speeds due to bearing wear and runout.
Cleaning the nozzles on the rocker arms is not difficult for any user; physical force is not required; on the contrary, it is better not to use it when removing a fragile product. Rinse the holes with running water; if any foreign particles remain, remove carefully with a toothpick.
Note to the owner! The more food debris you remove from the plates before placing them in the baskets, the less often the filters and nozzle holes will become clogged, without requiring urgent repairs.
Dishwasher operating diagram
Now let's look at how all of the above elements and nodes interact with each other.
After loading dishes into the basket, closing the door and selecting a washing program, the unit will begin to draw cold (if there is no connection to hot) or hot water. It is collected by passing through the inlet hose and automatic valve. The liquid then passes through an ion exchanger
, in which it is softened (due to resin and sodium ions), after which it is poured into the water collector located at the bottom of the dishwasher.
After filling the reservoir to a certain level, the pressure switch sends a signal to close the valve, after which the liquid supply stops. The heating element is now turned on
and heats the water to the programmed temperature. As soon as the required temperature is reached, the circulation pump turns on. He begins to pump water under pressure into the rotating sprinklers (rocker arms).
When choosing a dishwasher, you should pay attention to the shape of the spray arms and the number of holes in them: the greater the number of nozzles, the better the washing process will be. It’s good if they are located at different angles, then jets of water will be able to reach all parts of the chamber.
The water entering the tank flows down the walls, passes through the filter into the reservoir and is reused. During this circulation process
the liquid is filled with detergents, passing through the compartment for them, and is again pumped into the sprinklers.
After a time determined by the program, the first stage of washing dishes is completed and the pumping of waste water by the drain pump begins. After pumping is complete, clean water begins to fill and the cold rinse cycle
.
The second and final rinse cycle will be done with warm water.
with the addition of rinse aid.
When the process is over, the machine will drain the waste liquid, and moisture will begin to evaporate naturally from the water-heated plates (this type of drying is called condensation
, and is used in inexpensive models).
Or turbo drying
, in which hot air is pumped by fans.
Upon completion of the dishwashing process, which can last from 30 to 180 minutes, a sound signal will sound. The process time depends on the selected program and its execution mode.
Now you have an initial idea about this useful unit for the household. Understanding the operating principle and minimal knowledge about the device allows for better care and maintenance of the dishwasher, which in turn extends the “life” of the device.
Each dishwasher is equipped with a part such as a water level sensor, also called a pressure switch. It is thanks to its presence that the equipment will be able to automatically determine the water level, as well as adjust it during further washing of dishes.
While the dishwasher fulfills its main purpose, the housewife can go about her usual business. This applies to all modern models - Bosch, Electrolux, Zanussi, Ariston, Beko. That is why, if the water level sensor malfunctions, then all the equipment begins to function incorrectly. In such a situation, it will not be possible to do without professional repairs.
Extraneous noise
Sometimes users complain about the appearance of extraneous noise when operating household appliances. As soon as you encounter such a problem, turn off the machine and start troubleshooting so that repairing the dishwasher does not make a significant hole in the family budget.
In this case, the search algorithm looks like this:
- the reason may be in the bearings of the circulation pump - water has leaked through the seals, with all the ensuing consequences, sometimes the pump needs to be replaced;
- the drain pump may also make strange sounds when the impeller is overloaded or broken;
- rocker arms and their fastening system, although such a malfunction is very rare.
There are no other sources of extraneous sound in a dishwashing machine.

Dishwasher not working?
To order repair of Electrolux dishwashers, just one phone call is enough. In most cases, breakdowns are repaired on the same day they occur. The sooner the owner of the equipment submits an application, the better. The wizard will quickly help if:
- the unit has stopped responding to entered commands;
- due to corrosion, damage to metal parts occurred;
- water drains or fills too slowly;
- The dishes remain dirty after washing.
There can be a lot of possible breakdowns, even though Electrolux equipment is considered one of the most reliable on the market. Spare parts and components tend to wear out, voltage surges and lack of maintenance are also serious enemies of equipment such as dishwashers.
Are there rules for connecting a dishwasher to the electrical outlet?
The voltage and type of power supply to the machine must correspond to the local power supply. The manufacturer is not responsible if this point is not fulfilled. The outlet must be electrically safe and properly installed. It is better not to use extension cords, adapters and various connectors. A mandatory step when cleaning equipment or performing maintenance is to disconnect the device from the power supply.
How to properly connect the machine to the water supply?
The inlet hose can be connected to the cold and hot water pipeline, but in the second case there is a limitation - the water temperature should not exceed 60 degrees. Most often, the hose is attached to a water valve with a 3/4″ male thread; it should not be bent or crushed. To protect against water leakage, you need to tighten the locknut correctly; there is also a special safety valve for this purpose.
Why do dishes remain dirty after washing?
If, after completing the washing process, the contents of the machine remain dirty, it is advisable to contact a specialist. There may be several reasons for this problem: clogged or incorrectly installed filters, broken sprinklers, or a software failure. Also, the program may not be suitable for a specific type of dish and degree of soiling, and sometimes the baskets are simply loaded incorrectly.
Why does limescale remain on dishes?
To identify the exact cause of the formation of limescale, you will need to diagnose your dishwasher. But the main problems may be the following: lack of salt in a special container, an incorrectly screwed lid of this container, failure to adjust the water softening level. It is advisable to eliminate the problem as early as possible, because washing and rinsing dishes additionally each time is both time-consuming and more expensive.
What to do if there is no water coming into the dishwasher?
Most often, water flows poorly or does not enter the dishwasher at all due to a clogged water valve or an overly dirty filter in the inlet hose. This problem also occurs when the hose is bent or squashed. There may also be a connection error. An experienced specialist will diagnose the equipment, its individual systems, components and help resolve the problem.
When should you clean the filters in your dishwasher?
In most cases, Electrolux dishwashers are equipped with three types of filters: coarse filter, microfilter and flat filter. If washing efficiency noticeably decreases and dishes remain dirty, it's time to clean the filters. Filter systems can be easily removed and washed under running water. Next, they need to be inserted into place and securely fixed.
What is the Multitab function and what is it for?
The main task of the Multitab function is the combined use of detergent in the form of tablets, which additionally include rinse aid and special salt. The indicator monitors the need to add salt and rinse aid, stops and resumes supply when required. When using the Multitab function, dishwashing times may increase.
What are the best detergents to use?
It is recommended to use only detergents that are designed for dishwashers. They come in liquid, powder and tablet form. Manufacturer's recommendations for dosage and storage should be followed. The product is poured into a special dispenser. If you exceed the amount of detergent, a lot of foam will form and the washing process will be poor.
Are there any rules for loading dishes and cutlery?
Do not place items that absorb water or glassware that is too thin into the dishwasher. Before placing cutlery and dishes inside the machine, you need to remove any remaining food and soften burnt food. It is recommended to place hollow items upside down; small items should be placed in a separate basket. When washing glasses, they should be placed so that they do not touch each other.
Why use additional rinse aid?
The dishwasher has a special dispenser for placing rinse aid in it. It is designed to dry dishes without stains, streaks or streaks. The owner of the equipment only needs to monitor the amount of rinse aid in the compartment, and the machine itself will add it in the required volume during the last rinse aid cycle. If there is some water in the rinse aid reservoir, this is not a problem.
Water does not heat up
Bosch dishwasher repair specialists very often encounter such problems, but the user may not be able to cope with this on his own if he does not have certain knowledge and skills. First of all, you need to be able to work with a multimeter in different modes, in particular an ohmmeter.
It is necessary to check the serviceability of the heating element - its resistance should not exceed several tens of ohms, if it is much more, then we can accurately confirm the presence of a break, the heating element needs to be changed. The thermostat must also be tested, as well as all wiring that supplies current to the heater. The absence of current indicates that it is necessary to ring the corresponding outputs from the control unit - there is no signal there either, which means the problem is in the module. Calling a specialist is inevitable; your own master is powerless here.

Dishwasher not working?
It is better to order repair of Bosch dishwashers as soon as problems arise in the operation of the equipment. Breakdowns can be caused by power surges, low-quality water with impurities, direct exposure to sunlight on the body and individual parts, violation of basic operating rules, and wear of components. Calling a specialist is relevant when:
- lack of power supply and equipment response to commands;
- interruption of the dishwashing cycle or malfunction of the control panel;
- problems with fill or drain valves, damaged hoses;
- corrosive effects on metal components and parts.
In order for the problem to be resolved quickly and effectively, professional diagnostics are required. A guarantee of success in repairs is the use of original spare parts and components, high-quality consumables.
Are all dishes dishwasher safe?
Sometimes dishwasher breakdowns occur due to improper operation of the equipment, namely due to violation of recommendations for the type of content. The manufacturer Bosch does not recommend washing knives, fragile glass, wooden objects, anodized dishes, or thin plastic that can become deformed due to exposure to high temperatures.
What are the most popular dishwasher operating modes?
This type of equipment can operate in economical mode, reducing energy costs by up to 20%. You can choose accelerated dishwashing, in which the standard cycle goes much faster. Also available are modes such as hot and cold, rinsing, drying, working with delicate items, enhanced washing, half load. If any of the functions does not work, you need to contact a technician.
What temperature mode should you choose for washing dishes?
The choice of temperature depends on the type of contents in the dishwasher and the degree of soiling of the dishes. For example, for washing thin glass items, plates and mugs, it is better to choose a water temperature of 45...55 °C. For cleaning frying pans, pots and overly dirty dishes, an intensive washing mode at a water temperature of 65...75 ° C is more suitable. If the stated temperature conditions are violated, equipment repair will most likely be required.
What should I do if I hear increased noise when the machine is running?
Most modern models of Bosch dishwashers operate almost silently (in the range of up to 45 dB). Noise levels are significantly reduced through the use of modern materials and technologies. Noise may increase when individual parts are worn or damaged. It is possible to determine the true cause of discomfort as a result of professional diagnostics.
Do Bosch dishwashers have their own error codes?
Yes, if certain malfunctions appear on the control panel of your Bosch dishwasher, you will see special error codes. For example, E1 indicates a water heating problem, E2 indicates a temperature sensor error, E3 indicates difficulty filling the tank with water, E4 indicates a problem with the water flow switch, E5 indicates the fill level has been exceeded due to a faulty water level switch or inlet valve. There are many other error codes.
Why doesn't the water drain from the machine?
Most often, this problem occurs due to a blockage of the pump responsible for draining water from the dishwasher tank. Also, a foreign object or contaminant may get into the impeller and clog the system. The absence of blockage indicates possible wear of one of the pump elements. Removal of blockages and replacement of components must be carried out by a qualified specialist.
Unauthorized water collection has started, what should I do?
This is most likely caused by a problem with the inlet valve or water flow sensor. It would be a good idea to check the condition of the water level sensor. Another common cause is excessive foaming due to overuse of detergent. It is impossible to cope with each of the listed problems on your own; the intervention of a specialist is important here.
What is an aquasensor used for?
The main task of the aquasensor is to monitor the state of water at the stage of initial rinsing of dishes. This element takes into account such water characteristics as hardness, turbidity, and level of pollution. If the dishes are not too dirty, the system eliminates the hot rinse process, thereby reducing water and electricity consumption. If a failure occurs in the operation of the aquasensor, it is necessary to carry out diagnostics and restoration.
What causes problems with filling your dishwasher with water?
Depending on the selected mode, the system gives a certain period of time to fill the tank with water. If difficulties arise during the flow of water, there may be several reasons: mechanical damage or blockage of the main hose, breakdown of the pump or inlet valve, failure of the pressure switch. An experienced technician only needs a few minutes of diagnostics to understand what’s wrong.
How quickly will the technician arrive when called?
The workshop provides professional repair services in Moscow, minimizing customer waiting time. The specialist leaves at the specified address on the day of the request, even urgently if necessary. The dispatch service processes the application in a matter of minutes, coordinates the main issues and sends a technician to repair the equipment. In most cases, the restoration work itself lasts about an hour.
Doesn't dry dishes
If the machine is equipped with a condensation dryer, check the presence of rinse aid, because it greatly affects the quality of drying dishes, causing excess water to drain to the bottom of the tank. Drying occurs naturally - there is simply nothing to break here.
It does not function in some modes, so before you get indignant, re-read the instructions again. Turbo drying is more complicated - it consists of a heater through which a fan pumps hot air into the working compartment, so both elements need to be checked.
Before doing this, you should check the wiring for integrity and the electronic module for signal output. It is not difficult to repair both elements: one must be replaced immediately, since the heating elements cannot be repaired, and the second, as surgeons say, “an autopsy will show.”
There is a current leak
When a machine gives an electric shock, it is extremely dangerous for all the inhabitants of the apartment and the first signal is that somewhere inside there is broken wiring insulation or there is a malfunction of the heating device. Therefore, a short circuit to the housing occurs - a thorough check of the entire electrical system is necessary. We have already written about how to ring an element; at the same time, you need to check all the wiring and other electrical components in the same way.
