Review of the Bosch GL 30 vacuum cleaner: a budget cleaner in a standard configuration - practical and no frills

BOSCH household appliances are distinguished by excellent technical characteristics, modern design and high-quality assembly. A classic example of this is the Bosch GL-30 vacuum cleaner with a dust collector for dry cleaning.

This is a series of compact devices with sufficient suction power to cope with almost any dirt and dust in the house. One of the brightest representatives is the bagged vacuum cleaner BGL 32003.

Expert rating:

94

/ 100

Advantages

  • Affordable price
  • Capacious dust container
  • Compact dimensions and light weight
  • Smooth power adjustment
  • Long cable - 8 m

Flaws

  • Need to buy new bags
  • Noisy operation
  • No turbo brush included

Next, we will tell you in more detail about the features of the units of the GL-30 product line, and also compare them with similar models from third-party manufacturers.

No noise and dust

The set of solutions implemented in vacuum cleaners of the Relaxx'x family to reduce noise levels is known as the Silence Sound System.

The noise produced during operation of the device is comparable in intensity to a leisurely friendly conversation, its level is only 66 dB.

This means that there are no longer circumstances for you that would require you to postpone cleaning. You can easily do it even early in the morning, when relatives and residents of neighboring apartments are still snoring peacefully in their beds.

Rest assured: none of them will even flinch when you start the engine of your silent assistant.

How did Bosch professionals manage to achieve such a low noise level while maintaining quite impressive power?

To create the Silence Sound System, they had to carefully analyze the operation of every part of the device, from the nozzle to the outlet grille, in order to determine the causes and nature of the vibrations of each of them.

The next step was to develop solutions to reduce the intensity of these vibrations to the extent possible.

The joints between the nozzle, pipe and corrugated hose were sealed . At the same time, the diameters of the parts at the joints were increased, due to which the air stream became more intense.

The improved design provided high aerodynamic air flow parameters, which significantly affected the noise level.

The developers placed the powerful engine of the unit in a shell made of material with a high noise absorption coefficient .

This material is Bosch's own innovative development; it was created specifically for use in silent device models.

The soundproofing capsule is double. The installation of a melamine layer on the exhaust filter also contributed to reducing noise during operation.

No to bags, yes to containers!

Those who have ever cleaned an apartment using a vacuum cleaner equipped with a dust bag probably remember how troublesome these devices were to maintain.

It was not that easy to remove all the dust and dirt from the cloth bag, and it also had to be washed to finally get rid of debris, mites and other microorganisms.

Things were somewhat simpler with paper bags, since they were disposable. But in this case there was also a significant drawback: you had to constantly spend money on buying new dust collectors.

Devices of the Relaxx'x family implement container dust collection technology. The owner of such a device does not need to spend money on buying a paper one or bother with washing a cloth dust bag.

In all devices of this model range, dust and dirt are retained in a special container, which is extremely easy to maintain: the accumulated debris just needs to be thrown away, rinsing the container with water if necessary.

Then you need to wipe it dry (if necessary) and install it in place, and the whole operation will take no more than two minutes.

The impressive volume of the container (3 liters) allows you to go without cleaning it for quite a long time, while the quality of cleaning and work efficiency remain at the highest level.

A silent device is interesting, but the “coolest” solution now is a built-in vacuum cleaner, when the hose is inserted into a socket in the wall, and all components are mounted inside the apartment or house. Read about how it works, how much it costs, and so on in the article Built-in vacuum cleaner reviews, let your apartment be truly clean!

Another interesting and not so expensive option is to buy a washing device. In this case, you purchase high-quality and deep cleaning of carpets, sofas, and so on. You will be surprised how much dirt remains in the carpet after cleaning with a “regular” vacuum cleaner! Moreover, you can even clear clogged drains with it! So, how and by what parameters to choose a washing vacuum cleaner can be read here, the latest and most useful information.

Bosch GL-30 range

There are several models in the line of Bosch vacuum cleaners labeled GL-30. In this case, the Bosch BGL32000 GL-30 2000W device is considered basic, only with a disposable dust bag.

And more advanced - Bosch BSGL32383 GL-30 Bag&Bagless with the DualFiltration , which means that the device has both a bag and a garbage container inside. They are now offered by the German concern for sale in Russia.

GL-30 means power consumption up to 3000W. Marked 2000W or similar indicating watts, these are devices with a dust collector in the form of a fabric bag, and Bag&Bagless are their analogues, additionally equipped with a plastic container for collecting dust

Also in the Bosch line with the GL-30 logo there are models BGL32003, BSGL 32180, etc. They differ from the ones mentioned above in the length of the power cord, the presence/absence of a HEPA filter and the color of the case. However, the basic set of functions and the general internal structure are identical in all cases.

Judging by the decoding of the alphabetic abbreviation in the name of the vacuum cleaners in question, Bosch classifies them as professional and powerful equipment. But this does not mean that this technique can be used for cleaning in the office, and even more so in production.

In terms of characteristics, configuration and functionality, it is more intended for domestic conditions, although it has fairly high power consumption.

Filtration system: 100% effect

In the path of small particles of dust and dirt that did not settle in the container, the creators of the device erected an insurmountable barrier - the Clean Stream membrane filter.

It featured Gore technology. The latter ensures that the filter pores cannot be blocked by dust and other contaminants.

The highly efficient membrane filter traps 99.5% of all debris drawn into the unit.

Thus, completely purified air passes through the technical components of the Relaxx'x family of vacuum cleaners, which contributes to the reliability and durability of all mechanisms.

But a membrane filter is far from the final stage of air purification. The exhaust grille of each model is equipped with a HEPA filter with cleaning class H13 or H14.

The pores of this filter are so small that they can stop even microscopic objects such as bacteria and viruses.

Therefore, the air in the room remains impeccably clean during cleaning, and the respiratory tract of residents remains healthy.

By the way, HEPA filters are used in medical institutions to purify the air in operating rooms and other rooms that require a sterile atmosphere.

The cost of such a filter is quite high, but it should not scare off the consumer: after a certain period of operation specified in the instructions, it can simply be washed, thereby completely restoring its working properties.

Thus, both the membrane and exhaust filters are designed to last the entire service life of the device.

If you are concerned about the problem of noise when the vacuum cleaner is running, perhaps a good option would be to buy a robot vacuum cleaner; it can work in your absence, and it also frees up a lot of time and effort for cleaning. Read about how to choose a robot vacuum cleaner only on our website!

But the problem of clean air in an apartment can be solved by a vacuum cleaner with an aqua filter, which drives air through water, trapping up to 99.5% of dirt and dust! You can read reviews on them in this article about which devices with an aqua filter are considered the best at the moment, take care of your health and the health of your loved ones!

If you prefer to use the latest technological advances, then check out the new model from Electrolux, UltraCaptik. This device can pack dust into briquettes, not a speck of dust will spill past when emptying the container, it has enviable power, and looks like a spacecraft. Your friends will definitely be impressed. Review of the Bosch Unlimited Serie cordless vacuum cleaner | 6 BCS611P4A

The hero of today's review is the Bosch BCS611P4A vertical vacuum cleaner. This is a representative of the manufacturer’s middle series of battery devices. Unlimited Serie 6 devices (product numbers start at BCS61) are very similar to each other and differ only in configuration and design elements. They are united by their low weight, compact size and the use of a single Power for All 18 V battery system, used in a variety of Bosch hand-held power tools and garden equipment.

The manufacturer notes that vacuum cleaners in this series are distinguished by an effective PowerBrush electric brush, a brushless DigitalSpin motor design and a long operating time. We'll take a closer look at the device and evaluate it through hands-on testing.

Equipment

The Bosch BCS611P4A is packaged in a glossy white cardboard box with full color printing. On its front side we see a full-length photograph of the device, next to which there are images of the entire range of Power for All 18V cordless equipment - screwdrivers, drills, grinders, garden trimmers and much more. The manufacturer rightly considers the ability to use a common battery format for many devices to be one of the main advantages of the product. On the front side you can also see information about the operating time (up to 30 minutes) and the flag of the country of origin: our vacuum cleaner is made in Germany.

The illustrations on the top of the box tell us about the variety of attachments in this line and their capabilities. However, some of them shown in the photographs are not included in the kit of our model: the manufacturer has developed a single package for the entire sixth series and warns that a number of accessories can be purchased separately.

Having opened the box, inside we found:

  • vacuum cleaner unit with a removable dust collector;
  • battery;
  • power adapter;
  • base for charging and storing the device;
  • floor nozzle with electric brush;
  • 2-in-1 nozzle for upholstered and cabinet furniture;
  • crevice nozzle;
  • extension tube;
  • vacuum cleaner user manual;
  • instructions for the battery.

The selection of attachments is small. Let us remind you that this is a basic model at an affordable price.

At first sight

The motor unit of the vacuum cleaner is made of gray plastic with decorative elements of a dark blue color, decorated in a “metallic” manner.

The handle of the device is pistol-type with a “trigger” on the inside. Below it is a mount for an 18-volt battery.

The top panel contains the logos of the manufacturer and series of household appliances - Unlimited Serie | 6. The turbo mode button is located so that it is convenient to press it with the thumb of either hand - the device can be used with equal comfort by both right-handed and left-handed people. At the front of the case there is a light gray latch key that secures the waste bin.

The waste container with attachment for attachments and extension tube is completely detachable from the motor unit.

Between the motor unit and the garbage disposal there are two contacts that provide power to the electric brush and other electric attachments, which can be purchased separately.

The power socket is located next to the battery connector, at the bottom of the case. You can charge the vacuum cleaner directly from the adapter or through the wall base.

The battery is a standard 2.5 Ah power supply for the 18-volt Bosch Power For All line. Two of its four contacts are used to supply power, and two are used to monitor the battery status. The battery is not equipped with visual means of charge monitoring.

The filter unit consists of two elements: a preliminary filter element made of a fine nylon mesh and a cylindrical HEPA filter designed for fine cleaning. The body of this part of the vacuum cleaner is made of translucent gray plastic. Maximum filling marks are marked on the walls on both sides.

In the front part of the filter block there is a mount for nozzles with a socket. The design of the mount allows you to use the vacuum cleaner without attachments, in which case it works as a slot nozzle.

The extension tube is made of silver metal. It has a conventional, non-telescopic design (a wire runs inside it that powers the electric brush) and, like the nozzle of a filter unit, can work as a crevice nozzle.

The main attachment of the Bosch BCS611P4A is the PowerBrush. It can be attached either to the extension tube or directly to the socket of the vacuum cleaner. The hinge mechanism allows it to bend back and forth by approximately 100 degrees, and left and right by almost 180 degrees.

In the working position, the nozzle rests on two rubberized wheels, which facilitate its sliding on floor coverings and take on a significant part of the weight of the entire device.

The working element here is a cylindrical brush with tufts of synthetic bristles arranged in V-shaped rows.

The electric brush is inserted into the nozzle body from the side and secured with an intricately shaped latch.

The brush attachment, designed for cleaning upholstered and cabinet furniture, has natural bristles. When the main part with bristles is extended, it is convenient to collect dust from cabinet furniture without scratching it. When the main part is retracted, you can clean the upholstery. For this purpose, velvet nozzles are provided at the end of the nozzle to facilitate sliding over the upholstery.

And, as if there weren’t enough crevice nozzles on the vacuum cleaner body, extension tube and brush, the set includes one more, separate, traditional design.

The base of the vacuum cleaner, designed for storing and charging the device, has two mounts for additional attachments and a hole for connecting a charger.

Hardware for attaching the base to the wall is not included in the vacuum cleaner kit.

Instructions

The vacuum cleaner comes with a two-volume instruction manual in nineteen languages. The paper on which this essay is printed is quite thin. Especially bad is the cover, which somewhere in the middle of testing already looked wrinkled and shabby, although we were very careful.

Both brochures can be called books: one of them has 173 numbered pages, the other - 194. There are also unnumbered ones - for notes. Of the two volumes, we are interested in the thicker one: there are instructions in Russian. We formally went through other languages and made sure that the structure of information was the same everywhere.

All explanatory pictures and diagrams are included at the beginning of each brochure. The section begins with its own table of contents, but there is no general one, so you have to use a bookmark or flip through all the pages each time in search of familiar letters. It’s convenient with the Russian language: it’s the last one in its little book.

A significant part of each section is occupied by a list of safety measures that must be taken when working with a vacuum cleaner. This part is full of exclamation marks and bold font. There are a lot of scary words: explosion, suffocation, burns, injury. It is clear that these are legal requirements, but I sincerely feel sorry for manufacturers who, because of these requirements, are forced to saturate their instructions with so much information that no one, of course, reads.

The following tables provide a list of all the components of the tested model, the components of its body and controls, and some tables refer the user to one of the figures.

The following chapters of the section are devoted to assembling the device and proper installation and charging of the battery, with additional warnings about possible dangers that await the user on the way to cleaning. Compared to the story about the battery, the remaining points are quite short, but understandable and do not cause any discrepancies. It also provides information on cleaning the vacuum cleaner and attachments, as well as troubleshooting problems that you can fix yourself.

After which there is a short afterword on how to properly throw away a vacuum cleaner if you no longer need it, and information about service and warranty.

Control

The power button, located inside the handle, starts the motor and locks when pressed - there is no need to hold it while operating. A second press turns off the device. The Turbo key on the top panel turns on the increased suction power mode.

The charge indicator lights up continuously white when operating in normal mode, and when turned on in turbo mode it blinks at approximately two-second intervals.

When the battery is discharged to a certain limit, the indicator lights up red. It's funny that the assessment of its capacity is relative: a vacuum cleaner that turns on the red light in turbo mode can be switched to normal power. The indicator will change color to white, and you can continue cleaning for a few more minutes.

During charging, the light flashes white once every two seconds, and when the maximum charge level is reached, it goes out.

Exploitation

It is quite possible to charge the vacuum cleaner without the base unit by connecting the power adapter directly to the device body. But the first thing the manufacturer recommends doing before starting operation is to assemble and install the base unit. To do this, you need to remove the front panel of the base, lay the power cable through it and install the charger plug in the corresponding hole.

Before installing this unit on the wall, the manufacturer recommends making sure that no household electrical wiring runs inside the wall near future holes. The advice is addressed to those who have at least once “found” a hidden wire in the wall with a drill bit: this is a small pleasure, and an extra reminder about safety precautions will never hurt.

Once the base is attached to the wall, you should insert the vacuum cleaner into it and fully charge the battery, which comes about half full. In our case, the process took a little less than two hours.

The power supply supplied with the device (23.5 V, 650 mA) does not charge the battery very quickly. But the significant advantage of our vacuum cleaner is that the charging process can be accelerated by more than four times using an external charger from the Power For All line: the Bosch BCS611P4A uses a standard battery suitable for power tools, garden and household appliances. This is convenient: such batteries are widely available on the market, so if during operation the vacuum cleaner battery exhausts its resource, you don’t even have to go to a service center - most likely, you can find a new battery at the nearest hardware store.

It should be remembered that Bosch currently supports three battery standards simultaneously: mutually compatible 10.8 and 12 V, as well as more powerful 18 V. Our vacuum cleaner is 18 V, so chargers and power supplies from no other system will fit it.

Assembling the device and connecting attachments to it turned out to be intuitive; there was no need to look at the instructions. All parts fit perfectly together, the latches of the body and attachments work effortlessly, clearly and comfortably.

The Bosch BCS611P4A feels very comfortable in the hand, we rate the balance as a solid five. The already not too heavy weight of the device during cleaning is practically not felt not only when cleaning floors, when the vacuum cleaner rests on the rollers of the floor nozzle, but also in manual mode.

The outlet openings of the motor unit are well oriented: the air coming out of them does not raise uncollected dust (this is, unfortunately, a fairly common problem with some vertical electric brooms).

The floor nozzle has proven to be effective. Its hinge has a sufficient degree of freedom for convenient cleaning of the most difficult to reach places, and its low height allows you to clean even under low furniture to an impressive depth. The sound of the electric brush during operation is practically inaudible: the fact that it actually rotates can only be guessed by the slight resistance of the nozzle during reverse movement on carpets.

Unfortunately, the Bosch BCS611P4A does not have the possibility of vertical parking: during a short pause in the process, the vacuum cleaner has to be rested on walls or furniture. The hinge of the floor nozzle is so soft that it is difficult to find a stable vertical position, but you can easily turn it during operation.

We really liked the ability to use the device without nozzles: let us remember that the connector of the motor unit and the end of the extension tube are nozzles that can be used as crevice nozzles without any problems, so a separate one was practically not used.

We also found the 2-in-1 nozzle for upholstered and cabinet furniture very convenient. In addition to its main purpose, it successfully coped with other tasks: natural bristles did not leave marks even on the most delicate fabric, almost without retaining dust, but effectively cleaning stuck lint. A nozzle with velvety lining at the end allows you to successfully vacuum the most difficult to reach places (for example, the cracks between sofa cushions).

The color of the dust collector body did not seem very good to us: the too dark plastic of the case is not informative enough, and the level of debris in it is not very visible.

Despite the absence of any cyclone elements in the garbage disposal, the air flow in it is effectively swirled, which helps to separate the intake into fractions. The preliminary external nylon filter retains even the smallest debris well, allowing only very fine dust to pass through.

The HEPA element of the internal fine filter absorbs relatively little of the finest dust, retaining it efficiently.

The filter elements are securely fastened inside the garbage container, they are easy to remove when cleaning the container, and your hands do not get dirty in the process.

Care

To clean the vacuum cleaner, as the instructions emphasize, you need to turn it off and disconnect it from the charger cable. It is recommended to wipe the body and plastic parts of the attachments with a soft cloth and a regular plastic cleaner. Since we always use ordinary water for this, we advise you to take a damp cloth - it will remove most of the dirt.

The dust container should be emptied regularly, without waiting until the dust in it reaches the Max mark. You can simply shake it out, but if dust has collected under the outlet, it will have to be removed by hand or with a dry brush.

After the container has been emptied, the filter unit must be cleaned. This must be done away from water, since any amount of it that gets inside the block will lead to damage. After the block is disassembled, the lamella filter must be knocked out over a trash can, and the filter mesh must be gently shaken over it. A sticker with a diagram located directly on the body of the dust collector will help you remember the correct assembly sequence.

The attachments must be disassembled by first disconnecting them from the vacuum cleaner. The brush roller is removed after unlocking; debris must be removed from it, if necessary, cutting long hair or fibers with scissors. This vacuum cleaner does not have a special device for cleaning bristles.

Our measurements

We present the mass measurements of the main components of the vacuum cleaner in the table:

Weight, g
Main unit with dust collector and filter1095
Battery365
Extension tube285
Electric brush615
Brush attachment75
Crevice nozzle20

We determined suction power (what it is and how we measure it is described in a separate article) when operating a vacuum cleaner without a pipe and nozzles, in both modes. The dependence of suction power on the created vacuum is shown in the graph below:

The maximum suction power we measured was 48 W in turbo mode and 13 W in normal mode. This result is closer to average.

While charging the battery, the vacuum cleaner adapter consumes 16.9 W, and in standby mode it consumes less than 0.1 W.

The average time required for a full charge, measured over several cycles, was 3 hours 55 minutes: almost exactly as specified in the documentation.

The noise level we measured at maximum power with a motor electric brush attached to the vacuum cleaner was 76 dBA, at minimum power - 69 dBA. Without an electric brush and an extension tube, with a nozzle attached directly to the socket of the motor unit, the vacuum cleaner makes a noise of 75 dBA at maximum power and 67 dBA at minimum.

Practice tests

We tested the vacuum cleaner in action to measure its efficiency and evaluate its capabilities in real-world conditions.

Maximum power

Having fully charged the device, we turned it on in turbo mode. The vacuum cleaner battery lasted for 11.5 minutes of continuous thorough cleaning at maximum power with the electric brush drive turned on. This made it possible to completely clean the floor coverings in a medium-sized three-room apartment (70 m²).

This time, of course, is not enough for general cleaning, but the battery life significantly exceeded the eight minutes declared by the manufacturer.

Result: excellent.

Minimum power, long cleaning

In normal power mode and using an electric brush, the maximum duration of continuous cleaning we measured was 34 minutes - 4 minutes longer than indicated in the documentation.

Having fully charged the battery again, we started cleaning at minimum power, replacing the floor nozzle with a crevice tool with a brush. One charge was enough to clean all existing upholstered furniture and hard-to-reach areas of the apartment within 38 minutes. This is eight minutes longer than the manufacturer's stated time for this mode.

Result: excellent.

Car interior cleaning

The battery life of the vacuum cleaner was more than enough to completely clean the interior of a large station wagon after several weeks of country trips. The power of the vacuum cleaner is enough to remove all specific contaminants from the interior, from rugs and from hard-to-reach places: sand, leaves, dry pine needles and cigarette ash. The vacuum cleaner also swallowed several small coins that had fallen into the cracks of the seats willingly and with pleasure. To clean hard-to-reach places, the vacuum cleaner was used without attachments, and the brush attachment turned out to be very convenient for cleaning seats and rugs.

Result: excellent.

conclusions

The Bosch BCS611P4A vertical vacuum cleaner will be best appreciated by owners of home workshops or gardeners who already have power tools of the Bosch Power For All 18V standard or who are just planning to purchase hand and garden equipment from this manufacturer. The ability to use a single battery standard in a screwdriver, a lawn mower, and a home vacuum cleaner is extremely convenient. Using a separate charging station to quickly charge the battery or an additional standard power source will allow you to not interrupt cleaning for a long time, even if it takes a long time.

However, even being the only representative of this line in the house, the Bosch BCS611P4A will delight its owner with good ergonomics, acceptable performance and build quality: equipment made in Germany still justifies the relatively high cost.

The BCS611P4A model does not have a very rich set of equipment, and although the attachments included in the kit are sufficient to solve most cleaning tasks, a small electric brush or flexible hose for cleaning hard-to-reach places would be a good addition to the set. Unlimited Serie 6 includes models with this configuration.

We didn't find any revolutionary innovations in the vacuum cleaner, but we liked it because of its thoughtful design and good performance. The battery life of the device even exceeds that declared by the manufacturer, and the simple but elegant design of the filter element has proven its effectiveness in practical tests.

pros:

  • possibility of using replaceable batteries of a single standard
  • light weight
  • good ergonomics
  • efficient filter element design
  • long battery life at normal power
  • good performance in maximum power mode

Minuses:

  • minimal set of attachments
  • high price

In conclusion, we suggest watching our video review of the Bosch BCS611P4A vacuum cleaner:

Vacuum cleaner with auto-cleaning: getting to know Sensor Bagless technology

Another amazing innovation from the Bosch engineering team is Sensor Bagless technology, which automatically cleans the membrane filter. Here's how it works.

Behind the filter in the device body there is a special sensor that analyzes the intensity of the air flow.

As the filter gets dirty, the value of this parameter drops, gradually reaching 90% of the original value.

At this moment, the red indicator lights up and the vibration mechanism is turned on, which shakes the membrane filter for a while, completely restoring its performance.

As a result, the intensity of the air stream again reaches its maximum value and the sensor turns off the automatic cleaning mechanism.

Thanks to this technology, the performance of the device is constantly maintained at a high level, and the time spent on servicing the unit is reduced to a minimum.

We think that the article The most important thing about choosing a vacuum cleaner for use in an apartment may be useful to you; it describes in detail the main types of these devices, prices, and customer reviews.

In general, container vacuum cleaners are most often purchased for apartments, i.e. without a dust bag, they receive excellent reviews and are inexpensive, we recommend this material for study.

Special purpose vacuum cleaner

For those who cannot imagine their life without a pet, the BGS52242 Relaxx'x Animal model will seem simply irreplaceable, because it is designed specifically for the home zoo.

The furniture cleaning attachment included in the kit has an increased size, which makes it especially effective in removing hair from the surface of the sofa, chairs and armchairs.

In addition, this model includes a turbo brush. Its fleecy elements are movable and begin to rotate during operation of the vacuum cleaner, carefully combing out even the smallest particles of wool from the surface of upholstered furniture or carpet.

Thanks to this equipment, you can easily keep your house clean even when your pet is shedding. According to Bosch tradition, the body of this model is painted red.

The small volume of our article did not allow us to fully describe the technical excellence of Bosch products, so much remained “behind the scenes”.

This includes Robust Air technology, which shapes the air flow in such a way that it removes the maximum possible amount of dust from the contaminated surface.

Information about this and other new products can be found on the website of the manufacturer and its dealers.

We think that you might find this article about HEPA filters for vacuum cleaners useful; it tells you what types of filters there are, what determines their price, and much more.

We also recommend that you read the article about filters for installation in a Samsung vacuum cleaner, find out which ones are suitable, which ones are better, how much they cost and much more.

Conclusions and best offers on the market

Bosch GL-30 BGL32003 is simply the perfect home vacuum cleaner. Compared to competitors with similar power and price, it is quieter, takes up less space, weighs less and has a long cord.

According to reviews from users who bought this equipment, the plastic housing looks flimsy, but it is very durable. The advantages of this model are the large 4-liter dust collector, which outweighs all its imaginary disadvantages.
