A budget hob that makes cooking easy and enjoyable. The device is equipped with four burners: 2 gas and 2 electric. The mechanical switches are located to the right, which does not interfere with the movement of the dishes. The enamel surface looks more expensive than its price and is quite wear-resistant. The grille, made of stainless steel, is also of high quality. But the main bonus for buyers is a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer. At the same time, in the reviews there is not even a mention of failures of the Simfer H60Q22O511. The model's shortcomings include the lack of small burners and difficulty in washing the enamel surface.

Rating (2021): 4.60

47 reviews taken into account from resources: DNS

The cheapest Average price is 11,499 rubles for a combined hob with 4 burners, which is really low. Especially when you consider the range of modern features that the DEXP 7M4ICYL/B is equipped with.

Most Popular Low price definitely influenced the rating of this panel. The maximum number of users who were satisfied with the quality of the equipment voted for it.

Despite being the cheapest model on our list, the DEXP 7M4ICYL/B comes with a number of exclusive features. These are 9 levels of temperature control, residual heat indicator, safety shutdown, timer, hob lock, and pan recognition. Thanks to its compact size, the stove is perfect for use in a small kitchen, room or country house. However, the low price of the model still makes itself felt due to a number of disadvantages. Touch control often glitches and produces errors; when turned on, the stove may make a squeaking sound. Advantages and disadvantages

  • There is a timer with shutdown and panel locking
  • Indicator recognizing the diameter of the cookware
  • Safety cut-out and residual heat indicator
  • Compact size
  • 9 levels of power control
  • Sometimes it makes a squeaking sound when turned on
  • Over time, the paint on the surface begins to wear off
  • Conveniently use 2 burners simultaneously
  • Touch controls are sometimes glitchy

  • The electric burner heats up very quickly

Comparison of induction and glass-ceramic hobs

CharacteristicsInduction cookerGlass ceramic hob
Suitable cookwareSpecial dishes with a flat bottom and ferromagnetic propertiesThe dishes are completely different shapes, you cannot use old dishes
Heating rateAlmost instantlyA couple of minutes

EconomicalConsumes less electricity and costs lessConsumes more electricity
SafetyThe hob is safe for children and animals; it is not recommended for use by people with pacemakersLess dangerous than gas, but there is a risk of burns

ControlAutomatic switching on, touch controlMechanical or touch activation and regulation

The conclusion is the following: when trying to save money on kitchen equipment, it is better to give preference to a glass-ceramic stove.

However, if you want to save time and effort, it is better to choose induction, because it cooks faster and is easier to clean. An induction hob is also good because it consumes much less electricity, as it heats up faster and has the function of automatically regulating the temperature of the burners.

But the big advantage of a glass-ceramic stove is its absolutely silent operation, which cannot be said about its opponent.

The choice is always up to the buyer: an expensive but most modern product that frees up time for the owner’s personal affairs; or a device in the middle price segment, but causing some discomfort in care and operation .

Both a glass-ceramic stove and a device operating on the induction principle can save space in a small kitchen, because it can be built into furniture or placed on a work surface.

Pros and cons of the combined type

What are the advantages and disadvantages of combined cooking panels?

Clear advantages include the following:

  • These are interchangeable useful household appliances: if bottled gas runs out, you can cook food using electric elements. Conversely, when the energy supply company turns off the electricity supply for some reason, a gas stove can always help out.
  • The housewife can always adjust to the speed of cooking - quickly heat up the water on the gas part, and continue to slowly simmer on the electric part.

They have only one drawback:

The requirements for cookware for gas equipment and electric or induction equipment are different, so you should monitor the selection of the required container for a particular type of cooking. But what is better, an induction or electric hob and how to make the right choice, this link will help you understand.

Top 3. Electrolux EGD 6576 NOK

Rating (2021): 4.10

5 reviews from resources taken into account: Yandex.Market

PowerBoost function The only hob in our top, equipped with such an innovative function. The PowerBoost option allows you to direct all the power to one burner. The result is lightning-fast heating.

Touch control Touch control in hobs is difficult to surprise anyone. However, the Electrolux EGD 6576 NOK works flawlessly. The fastest possible response from the touch of even a wet hand.

  • Characteristics

    Country: Italy

  • Average price: 32610 rub.
  • Panel material: glass ceramics
  • Burners: 4 (2 induction, 2 gas)
  • Burner power: 1.4/2.3 kW
  • Panel location: front
  • Warranty: 1 year
  • Built-in dimensions: 56 x 49 cm

Luxury combination hob. The main feature of the model is the rare PowerBoost option. Using it, you can direct all the power to one induction hob and heat it up in seconds. In addition, the panel is equipped with a lock, child safety lock, gas control and timer. It has a simple menu and a convenient touch panel that you can use even with wet hands. The main inconvenience in use is associated with the irrational arrangement of the burners. They are too close to each other, making it difficult to place two large pots or pans on the panel. Also, the surface of the panel gets dirty quickly; it must be washed immediately after cooking.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Has all the main functions, including child lock
  • Convenient and powerful touch controls
  • Induction heating zones with PowerBoost function
  • Automatic shutdown occurs after a few seconds
  • Clear menu and controls
  • Handles are too close to the heater
  • Very easily soiled surface, gets dirty quickly
  • The burners are too close to each other
  • Unprotected edge - easily damaged
  • There is no filter on the fan

How to choose and what to pay attention to?

When purchasing any hob, including induction, you must follow the general rules:

  • the panel must match the kitchen unit in size and color; currently the panels are mainly produced in black, but you can also find options in other colors or with unusual patterns on the surface;
  • two-burner panels are chosen, as a rule, by people living in small families or those who prefer to have breakfast, lunch and dinner outside the home;
  • induction hobs predominantly have a glass-ceramic coating - easy to use and maintain, however, it is recommended to give preference to those hobs that have metal frames installed along the contour of the panel, as this will reduce the likelihood of chips;
  • the power of each burner is a fairly important indicator that determines its heating rate and, accordingly, ease of use; as a rule, standard stoves have burners with a power of 1.4 to 2.2 kW;
  • special attention should be paid to switches: for example, touch switches are considered the most convenient to use, but plates are also available with switches in the form of handles and even activated from a remote control or from a phone;
  • An interesting type of stove can be considered a dependent model, in which all control is located on the oven “connected” to it, and the hob itself is not equipped with any sensors or switches, however, for induction cookers such a “relationship” with the oven is not typical and similar models are practically do not meet;
  • The functionality of the stove is also of considerable importance: for example, families with small children will benefit from the power-on protection function, and lovers of unusual dishes will appreciate the function of automatically changing the temperature after a certain time.

Combined hobs: features, advantages and disadvantages, current models

Combined hobs: features, advantages and disadvantages, current models

A combined model of household appliances, which combines several capabilities of different devices at once, is a real find for practical people who love experiments. Among the variety of hob models, there are also combined ones - those on the surface of which there are both gas and electric burners. They are also called mixed-type hobs. This option will be of interest to those who cannot finally decide on the choice (gas or electric) and are trying to think through the most economical scheme for using gas and electricity without compromising the quality and comfort of cooking.

If you still opt for a combined model, make sure that the electrical wiring in the apartment can withstand its operation, but connecting to the gas main is not necessary - you can easily limit yourself to ordinary gas cylinders. True, it is still recommended to use bottled gas only in private homes.

Three types of combination hobs

Conventionally, we can distinguish three main types of combined hobs: “gas on glass” + Hi-Light, “gas on glass” + induction, cast iron “pancakes” + classic gas burners on a metal surface. At the same time, like separate gas and electric hobs, combined ones can also be dependent and independent, differ in the type of material from which the work surface is made, and have different control methods.

Let's take a closer look at what the types of burners are that are used in combination hobs.

“Gas on glass” is a gas burner located on a glass-ceramic work surface. This is a fairly practical solution that looks stylish and neat at the same time.

Gas burners have the following advantages: they are inexpensive, allow you to instantly change the heating temperature and cool quickly. Their disadvantages include some difficulties in cleaning the stove and the likelihood of getting burns from an open flame.

An example of a combination hob from Kaiser

Hi-Light is a type of electric burner that uses ribbon heating elements instead of spiral heating elements, which can significantly increase their operating efficiency.

Hi-Light burners are attractive because they heat up very quickly, are easy to clean (the smooth, smooth glass-ceramic surface is easy to clean), and are also relatively safe - most of them have residual heat indicators that will help prevent accidental burns. Disadvantages include prolonged cooling and the likelihood of burns if the manufacturer did not provide for the presence of the above indicator.

The operating principle of induction burners is very different from how we imagine the classic way of heating food in a pan on a stove. Immediately under the layer of glass ceramics there is an induction block, which allows you to heat the bottom of the cookware, but at the same time almost does not heat the burner itself (and it does not emit any glow).

Induction burners have the following advantages: instant heating to the required temperature, a wide temperature control range, a high level of safety (it is very difficult to accidentally burn yourself with them). In addition, they allow you to save energy and are extremely easy to maintain. Their disadvantages include the need to purchase special utensils for cooking, as well as their high cost.

An example of a combination hob from Hansa

Cast iron burners are spiral heating elements, familiar since Soviet times, covered with cast iron “pancakes”, which allow heat to be evenly distributed over the entire surface. If just such burners are installed in the hob, then a metal sheet will be used as the worktop material - either enameled or stainless steel.

The main advantage of cast iron burners is their low cost, but the disadvantages include low heating and cooling rates, the likelihood of burns, and difficulty in cleaning the surface from dirt.

Advantages and disadvantages of combined hobs

The advantages of combined hobs include the following:

  • they are a good reinsurance option in cases where you cannot rely on uninterrupted gas and electricity supply (for example, when bottled gas runs out, you can use electric burners, and when there is no electricity, use gas burners);
  • you have the opportunity to level the speed and power of work during heating or cooking, using different types of burners (electric ones provide more heating power, while gas ones heat up faster).

The disadvantage of combined hobs is that you will need to constantly control what kind of cookware you use for cooking - for gas and electric burners, the requirements for the material of its manufacture will be different.

Popular models of combined hobs

Today, combined hobs can be found in the assortment of almost all manufacturers of these kitchen appliances. True, they still cannot be called the most numerous category. Let's look at which models of combined hobs are worth paying attention to today.

The independent Electrolux EHM 6335 K hob contains three highly efficient gas burners (1.9, 2.9 and 1 kW) and one Hi-Light heating zone (1.8 kW). Each gas burner is equipped with a gas control and cast iron pan holders. The working surface of the stove is black glass ceramic (58x51 cm), on which there are four rotary heating power controls. Automatic electric ignition is used. The cost of this model is $340.

The next mixed-type hob from the same manufacturer - Electrolux EHM 60132 K - combines gas and induction burners (two of each) on its surface. At a cost of $600, the model turned out to be very interesting. Let's start with the fact that this is a rather rare combination of induction and “gas on glass”, while the power of induction burners is 1.4 and 2.3 kW, and the power of gas burners is 1.9 and 2.9 kW. For control, two rotary controls and a touch panel are used, additionally there are functions such as gas control, Stop&Go (for organizing breaks during work), child protection, residual heat indication (for induction hobs), timer (after a specified time interval, a sound sound signal). The surface dimensions are 59x52 cm.

The Gorenje KC 620 BC hob also belongs to the combined type - it has two gas burners (power 3 and 1 kW) and two electric Hi-Light burners (1.2 and 1.8 kW). The working surface is black glass ceramic (60x51 cm) with four rotary power controls located on it. It is possible to choose one of nine power levels and use electric ignition. The safety system is represented by gas control and residual heat indicator. The cost of this model is $470.

The Hotpoint-Ariston PH 631 MS WH combination hob costs much less than the three previous models (only $260), and this can largely be explained by the fact that it uses a different combination of burners: three gas and one cast-iron “pancake”, located on an enamel surface. The total power of gas burners is 6.3 kW, and the power of electric burners is 1.5 kW. The cast-iron “pancake” is located in the center, closer to the edge of the stove, with gas burners placed in an arc around it. The dimensions of the panel are 59x51 cm, the working surface is painted white, and additional features worth noting are automatic electric ignition and gas control, as well as the included lid.

The gas-electric hob Hansa BHMI83161020 is interesting because both glass ceramics and stainless steel are used as the working area. The first has two Hi-Light burners (1.7 and 1.1 kW), and the second has three gas burners (1, 1.65 and 2.6 kW). In the lower right corner of the enamel surface is an area with five rotary power switches. The panel dimensions are 80x51 cm, there is electric ignition and gas control. This model costs $390.

The ILVE H391CV-M hob is another example of a combination of gas burners and cast iron “pancakes” placed on a stainless steel surface. For real Italian quality you will have to pay almost $1,300, and you will get a set of six burners: one three-circuit, one large and three small gas, as well as one in the form of a cast iron “pancake”. They are located in two rows, three in each. The control panel with rotary power controls is located to the right. The physical dimensions of the hob are 90x52 cm. The manufacturer has provided gas control and automatic electric ignition here.

An interesting model of a combined hob from the famous Slovenian company Gorenje. Its body is made of glass ceramics; the panel has 4 burners: 2 ceramic and 2 gas. The diameter of the smallest is 5 cm, and the largest is 18 cm. In reviews, users note the high build quality and reliability of the panel. Over time, its surface retains its original appearance; the cast iron grate does not rust. The kit includes nozzles for the cylinder and all the necessary adapters. Functions include heat indicator, surface blocking, safety shutdown and gas control. But still, for such a price, the functionality of the hob is very modest. This is the only negative of the Gorenje KC621USC.
