Wireless headphones are extremely convenient, and so you decided to buy them. Choose the model you like, order, pay, receive, etc. no they don't work. Well, they don’t work, they turn on, the light on them blinks, but the smartphone doesn’t see them and doesn’t connect to them.
These instructions will help you connect your headphones.
1. Find the power button on the headphones.
2.Press and hold the power button until the LED indicator located on the headphones starts flashing quickly in two different colors. Most often it is white + red, but not always. You can release the headphone power button. With this action, you put the headphones into pairing mode - creating a permanent connection to your device.
3.On your device, for example a phone, go to the settings, section “bluetooth” (or “wireless connections”), and select “search” or “add a new device”.
4.Wait until your headphone model appears in the list of devices. Please note that the list only shows the model name, without indicating "RB-520HB", etc.
5.Select headphones and click “Connect”. In rare cases, your device (phone/tablet) may request a connection PIN code. The default is "0000".
6. That's it, you are great!
p.s. Once your device and headphones are paired (a permanent connection is created), when you turn on the headphones and Bluetooth in your phone/smartphone, they will connect automatically. Accordingly, the headphones do not need to be put into pairing mode every time; you just need to turn them on by briefly pressing the power button.

Over the past few years, many have purchased inexpensive STN 13 wireless headphones and their analogues from online stores: headphones with a different marking, but the same set of settings and level of quality. The instructions for STN 13 were only available in English and Chinese. We offer a complete setup guide for wireless push-button headphones STN-13, STN-16, TM-10 and similar models. The principle of operation and set of functions are the same. The differences include color, design elements, shape and button placement.
How and how much to charge
For long and effective service of the headphones, you need to “boost” the battery, namely:
- For the first 3-4 cycles of operation of the device (from charge to discharge), do not turn the sound on at full volume.
- Use a charger with a power of no more than 1000 mA , either through an adapter, laptop or Power Bank.
- Charging time: no more than 2 hours. Do not leave the headphones overnight to charge to avoid damaging the built-in battery. Not all models have a battery equipped with a charge controller.
- How to find out if the headphones are charged: if the red LED goes out (in some models the green LED lights up), then the headphones are fully charged.
- To obtain high-quality sound via Bluetooth, the device’s battery must be fully charged.
Advantages and disadvantages of the accessory
Throughout 1989-2018, Bluetooth technology has been widely used in the creation of various models of headphones and telephone headsets (headphones + microphone). The popularity of this type of gadget is due to a number of advantages that they have compared to analogues that use a wire connection. Chief among them, of course, is freedom of movement. Thus, the latest models from well-known manufacturers (Nokia, LG, JBL, etc.) allow the owner to use Bluetooth headphones at a distance of up to 40 meters from the sound source.
In addition, headphones operating using other technologies (IR, Wi-Fi) cannot fully compete with Bluetooth headphones due to:
- low noise immunity;
- insufficient protection of transmitted information;
- lack of special audio support standards.
The only drawback inherent in Bluetooth headphones is a certain degree of sound distortion, which is associated with the need to convert the signal twice. Moreover, in this indicator they are second only to wired headphones such as Beats or Awei, designed for high-quality sound reproduction.
Possibilities
Listen to audio wirelessly
The headphones work via Bluetooth pairing and have the ability to connect to any device with a Bluetooth transmitter: PCs, smartphones, phones, players, TV, tablets, etc. When fully charged and a high-quality connection to the playing device, they are able to recreate clear stereo sound with an emphasis on bass.
Hands Free Feature
Wireless headphones STN-13 and analogs are also a headset that can be used for telephone and Internet communications. Calls are answered by pressing one button (usually a button with a handset symbol).
Built-in MP3 player
The built-in player allows you to listen to music from a memory card in mp3/wma formats. A microSD card (up to 64 GB) is inserted into a special slot. Listening is possible in MP3 player mode (usually this is a button with an MP3 icon).
Audio cable AUX
When the battery is low or turned off, the gadget can be connected via an AUX cable and a 3.5 mm jack to any device, like regular wired headphones, and listen to music from a PC, iPod/iPhone, TV, mp3/mp4 player, etc.
Conclusion
Wireless headphones are good because they do not have wires, but they still need power, so they are usually equipped with batteries that need to be recharged from time to time.
But we are already so accustomed to charging our smartphones every day that this procedure is unlikely to scare anyone. But, if you choose which wireless headphones to choose, then it all depends on where you are going to use them.
For example, in the car the ideal option would be a device with an infrared port, while on a walk - headphones with Bluetooth, and for those who are not particularly picky at home, a headset operating over a regular radio channel will be sufficient.

⚙️ 4. Headphone control and applications
Control buttons
The headphone control scheme varies greatly from model to model . It can be touch-sensitive, or it can be push-button. Sometimes there are switches and wheels (for volume, mainly). Expensive models also have smart functions, such as pausing when removing headphones.
- There are usually three buttons to control playback . Start/pause (it can also be the power button) and volume control buttons. Switching tracks - either double/triple click on start/pause, or hold down the volume buttons.
- Additional functions are usually provided with separate buttons . For example, controlling noise reduction: on/off is one button, and switching modes is another. Or the same one.
- Touch control . Typically there are one or two touchpads. One or two (this is better, fewer false positives) clicks – start/pause. Double/triple tap – next/previous track. Hold – change the volume (louder on the right, quieter on the left, for example). Or there may be gestures: swipe forward/back – switch tracks, up/down – volume.
- Branded applications for headphones . Many models from major manufacturers have these. They usually contain additional settings, the ability to customize controls, and more.
Of course, it is better to look at the manual for more details on your model. In addition, many TWS headphones, for example, do not have volume control or cannot go to the previous track. And with Huawei FreeBuds Pro, for example, control is based not on touches, but on “squeezing” the sensor. Following AirPods Pro.

Charging Bluetooth headphones
The batteries built into Bluetooth headphones need to be charged periodically. As a rule, this is done using the USB cable supplied with the product.
Advice! Immediately after purchase, it is recommended to discharge the batteries until the headset is completely turned off, and then fully charge them. It is advisable to repeat this procedure (full discharge/charge cycle) several times.
The electrical circuit of Bluetooth headphones includes a special controller that regulates the charge and discharge levels of the batteries. It will not allow the batteries to discharge to “zero” (deep discharge) and will turn off the charger after the battery is fully charged. Despite this, after “running” a full cycle, it is recommended to charge the headphones without waiting for the batteries to be deeply discharged.
Safety requirements

How wireless headphones work
These devices (in English such headsets are called wireless) can receive a signal from the source using several methods, depending on the design features. The following technologies are used:
- Radio communication. The technology provides a stable signal. The range exceeds similar indicators of other technologies - up to 10 m and more. Sound frequency – 2.4 GHz. This design is not comfortable enough to use, so it is used less often than others.
- Bluetooth technology is the most common option. The main advantage is versatility. Gadgets of this type transmit sound at a frequency of 2.5 GHz. Such devices can connect to every gadget that has the corresponding module installed, including a smartphone, tablet, and TV. The technology supports stable communication. These headphones are mobile and can be taken on the go. This technology involves the presence of special encoding that protects the communication channel from interception. Gadgets from famous brands, for example, Eltronic, Samsung, work using this technology.
- Headphones with infrared technology are equipped with a built-in receiver that is designed for signals with high frequency ripple. Such devices can be connected to a computer, but not to a smartphone, because this module requires 220 V. This technology is used by the Clayton brand.
- Wi-Fi technology is a convenient way to transfer data. Such devices can receive the signal directly or connect through a router. You can configure the system so that two headsets will work simultaneously from one source.
