The repair of Saeco coffee makers was discussed, and they described what would break. The speech concerned coffee machines that can grind grain, dose, brew, and pour into cups. The difference between the coffee maker is its modest capabilities; there are plenty of designs. We often see three on the counter: drip, espresso, capsule. There are quite big differences between them in cooking methods, but the insides are similar. Each device has one 230 volt motor (for example, synchronous with a magnetized rotor) that drives the pump. More like a compressor, in some the piston moves back and forth. Creates high pressure (horn modifications). Let's look at how to repair a coffee maker yourself.
Separately about brands common on the market
All models of coffee machines are designed approximately the same. And repairing some coffee machines is easy to do with your own hands: they simply disassemble, you can clean, lubricate, inspect almost everything, and then carefully assemble them. But brands have their own characteristics:
- Repairing Saeco coffee machines is convenient and straightforward. Most models are disassembled in the same way, allowing access to all nodes.
- Delonghi coffee machines are literally crammed with electronics, sensors, and control systems. Do-it-yourself repairs only involve fixing simple problems. To resolve serious problems, you should contact a service center.
- Krups devices, for all their perfection, are dangerous. The heating elements are powered by a voltage of 220 Volts, so an unqualified owner, trying to repair the coffee machine, can receive a serious electric shock.
Schematic diagram of a coffee machine
Maintenance of any coffee machine should be carried out sequentially, first identifying the simple causes of the malfunction, and then moving on to more complex ones. Separately, it is worth noting that some DeLonghi models can only be disassembled with special knowledge about the process order and the location of control systems.
De-energizing (unplugging the device from the socket) is mandatory to avoid serious injury or permanent damage to the device components.

How to disassemble
Part of the answer to the question of how to disassemble a coffee machine looks like this: you should definitely stock up on a screwdriver with a long thin slot, various bit attachments, and, if available, capes for unscrewing hexagons; thin pliers will also come in handy. In general, the process looks like this:
- The back wall is freed from the mounting screws. They can be very different - with a cross, hex key, asterisk, recessed, with a semicircular or flat head.
- If you cannot release the back panel, you should inspect the structure for the presence of latches. They are bent with a long slotted screwdriver.
- After the walls are freed, they can be disassembled further; the process depends on the specific model of the product.
Some coffee machines give access to most components after removing the back panel. Others will have to be examined more thoroughly. For example, for Saeko machines the complete process looks like this:
- First, the front panel is opened and the waste containers and coffee dispensing unit are pulled out.
- The mug stand is dismantled and moves forward along with the tray.
- The water container is removed from the rear; after removal, access to the bean compartment lid opens.
- To dismantle the coffee storage compartment, you need to unscrew all the fastening screws and carefully pull it out.
- Another mounting screw needs to be removed under the container.
- Dismantling continues from the front panel; there are a couple more fasteners there, accessible from below.
- Behind the bean compartment there is a final, deeply recessed mounting screw.
- When removing the top panel of the coffee machine, you need to disconnect the water supply hose.
- Dismantling is completed by removing the front door.
Main components of the Saeko coffee machine
After such disassembly, you can get to all components of the device. This will make it possible to inspect, clean and lubricate the mill mechanism, and check for voltage at key points in the electrical circuit of the Saeco coffee machine.
Typical problems and solutions
It makes no sense to be tied to specific models of coffee machines. Each brand and model has its own characteristics, and repairing a specific coffee machine may have unique steps. For example, Gaggia Syncrony Logic machines use strictly roasted coffee beans, and a number of problems are associated with their insufficient quality. Delonghi repairs most often occur due to the use of unfiltered water and the lack of periodic decalcification procedures. With Krups, capsules sometimes get stuck tightly in the feed path. Therefore, it is worth considering typical faults common to all coffee machines.

Technical service and repair of KRUPS coffee machines.
In Moscow, the repair service for KRUPS coffee machines is intensively provided. Moscow for KRUPS (KRUPS coffee machines) asks for decent technical service, repair, and care of coffee machines. Consistency of uninterrupted operation of the KRUPS coffee machine followed by fast and high-quality repairs is inevitable. After all, you wouldn’t want to wake up on a sleepy morning and be left without delicious, invigorating coffee from KRUPS.
The main problems of coffee machines and coffee makers
- The water supply is interrupted. There is a blockage in the mechanism pipeline;
- The coffee has acquired an unusual smell or taste. In this case, you don’t always need to fix something yourself. Perhaps you just need to change the coffee tablets, and there is a very wide choice of them: Dolce Gusto - Dolce Gusto, Nestle, Jacobs, etc. Alternatively, the coffee machine filter may become clogged. Another factor affecting the taste and smell of coffee can be cheap plastic. During operation, some parts of the machine heat up to 130 degrees, which can cause the plastic to melt;
- Cold coffee. Most likely, your heating element has stopped working;
- The carob coffee maker does not work. This can be influenced by many factors: the motor is broken, the pump is not working, the power cable is broken;
- The dosage of water has been exceeded (most often found in capsule coffee machines). Most likely, the breakdown lies in the engine or in the timer operating circuit.
- The cooking time setting circuit does not work or the dosage per cup is incorrectly adjusted. Of course, you need to focus on the model of the device and its brand, but a common reason is the incorrect operation of the engine control circuit or one of its compartments.
If you are not sure that you can repair a coffee machine, then it is better to take it to specialists. If the device is under warranty, then there is no point in disassembling it at all; it will instantly lose the warranty.
Design and diagnostics
Before you start repairing a device, you need to determine what exactly is broken in it. This will help significantly speed up and simplify the repair process. There are two types of coffee machines:
- Espresso (with pump);
- Capsule;
- Drip.
Their main difference is the operating pressure. In drip coffee makers (Bosch, Zelmer, Vitek), hot water drips through a coffee filter, through which it passes into the cup as an aromatic drink. In espresso, a stream of boiling water is poured into the cup, passing through a coffee tablet (pressed ground natural coffee). The advantage of using espresso coffee makers Electrolux, Binatone, Braun, Philips (Philips) and many others is that they can work without a filter.
Photo - espresso
Capsule coffee machines for brewing coffee have a special container into which ground natural powder is poured. This allows you to brew a drink with or without pressure. The key difference between these functions is that professional carob coffee makers can make coffee with foam.

The main problems of coffee machines and coffee makers of household and professional types:
- The water stopped flowing. Most likely, one of the water supply pipes is simply clogged;
- The coffee began to give off a strange smell or taste. In this case, it is not always necessary to independently repair coffee makers; perhaps you simply changed the coffee tablets (they come in Dolce Gusto - Dolce Gusto, Nestlé, Jacobs, etc.). Another reason could be a clogged filter or cheap material for the device. If the optimal water temperature for brewing coffee is 95 degrees, then the internal parts heat up to 125 and higher. As a result, cheap plastic may begin to melt, transferring its flavor to the drink;
- Cold coffee. The heating element stopped working;
- Incorrect water dosage (common with capsule coffee makers). The breakdown may lie either in the engine or in the timer operating circuit;
- The coffee maker does not turn on. There may be several reasons: engine failure, pump failure, problems with the power cord;
- You cannot adjust the brewing or cup filling time. Depending on the type of coffee maker, this may be a breakdown of the time relay, control circuit, motor (or one of its compartments).
It is worth noting that after the intervention, warranty repairs will no longer be provided, so if you are not confident in your abilities, it is better to contact a company service center.

How to disassemble a coffee machine?
To repair a coffee machine, you first need to disassemble it. And how to do this correctly is described step by step below.
- You need to find the back wall of the device, or rather the installation screws. Unscrew it with a screwdriver, pliers or whatever is at hand and is ideal for such work, set aside. It is worth noting that there may be several screw options. They can be hidden, cross-shaped or with a convex head;
- The screws have been removed, it is logical that the cover should be easily removed. However, if you cannot remove it, then there are hidden locks in the case. Most often these are ordinary plastic latches and they are located at the bottom of the back cover. From the outside, such a lock can be easily opened with a knife or a small screwdriver;
- Finally, we have access to the “insides” of the machine, it’s time to start repairs.

Therefore, in the event of a breakdown, you want to return the device preparing the drink to work as quickly as possible. The company will repair any capsule coffee machine as quickly as possible. We have more than ten years of experience, during which time we have successfully repaired devices of various brands: Krups, Delonghi, Nespresso, etc. We have the best specialists and spare parts for coffee machines from popular manufacturers, which allows us to repair the device in a maximum of two days.
Coffee maker won't turn on
- Initially, it is worth checking whether everything is in order with the food. See if the cable is broken, check the grounding.
- It also happens that household coffee machines produced in the Middle Kingdom simply lose contacts (they come off). Such cases also occurred with more famous brands: zauber, melitta, trevi. It is enough to check all the wire connections with the control circuit.
- A common case with Senseo¸Siemens and Ufesa machines is that they have low-quality thermostats built into them. To diagnose it, you need to remove one wire from its end and “ring” the contacts with a tester. If all is well, the circuit will be closed.
- The heating element may also fail. Diagnostics is carried out similarly to a thermostat. Replacing it with a new one is difficult; it will be easier to try to repair or buy a new coffee machine.
- Very often, on the shelves next to the coffee machine, all the necessary accessories that you will certainly need for the correct operation of the device are sold. And to clean parts, technicians are advised to buy special flexible brushes.
How to disassemble a coffee maker
In order to repair any coffee makers (Nespresso - Nespresso, Delonghi), you will need to first disassemble them. Step-by-step instructions on how to do this:
- There are set screws on the back of the coffee machine. They need to be untwisted and put aside. They can be of several types: hidden, cross and cone-shaped (often found in Indesit). They are removed with a screwdriver, pliers or other suitable tools;
- If the case is not removed after removing the screws, then it is secured with hidden locks. The latches are located at the bottom of the rear panel. They cannot be opened from the outside, so you will have to pry them off with a knife or screwdriver;
- After removing the housing, you can begin repair work.
If the tube of DeLongy, Bork, Ariete or other coffee makers is clogged, then you need to use a long thin rubber hose to repair it. It runs along the duct and breaks through the blockage. Sometimes special brushes with a flexible stem are used for such purposes; they allow you to clean the tube and remove not only coffee, but also mineral deposits.

Cleaning the filter is a little more difficult. With frequent use, various debris accumulates on it: salt plugs, coffee dust, scale. It should be cleaned only according to the instructions, because otherwise, the integrity of the spare part may be compromised. In most cases, it can be wiped with a swab soaked in alcohol or another degreaser. After washing, rinse the part thoroughly.
Photo filter
There may also be problems with the filter if water is leaking from the coffee maker. This is often found in machines manufactured by Mulinex, Krups, Rowenta, Saego. A special valve is installed behind the filter, which turns off the water supply after the timer is turned off. If after a certain time the drink does not stop flowing, then the cause is a malfunction of this element. The valve may wear out after frequent use or simply cannot handle the accumulated amount of coffee. To check and fix the breakdown, you need to disassemble the coffee machine, pour coffee out of it and inspect the valve. Please note that it cannot be repaired, so the part must be replaced immediately.

If the Redmond, Spidem, Tefal, Siemens and others coffee maker does not turn on, then urgent repairs are required:
- The first thing to check is the power cord. It needs to be examined for a break, and the grounding must also be checked. It connects to the terminal clamp, so be careful when diagnosing;
- Sometimes the contacts of household coffee machines made in China simply come off. This also occurs in professional models (zauber, melitta, trevi). In this case, you need to check all the places where the wires are connected to the control circuit;
- Many modern cars (Senseo¸Siemens, Ufesa) suffer from poor-quality thermostats. To diagnose it, you need to remove one wire from its end and check the contacts with a tester. If the element is working properly, the circuit should be closed;
- Also, the coffee maker may not turn on if the heating element needs repair. It is called in the same way as a thermostat. For many models (Jura Impressa, Miele, Gaggia, Butler) it is made in the form of a disk, so changing it will be quite difficult; it’s easier to try to repair the part or buy a new car;
- There are also certain secrets to cleaning the engine. In the care products departments, they sell special brushes that will help clean different parts of the engine without damaging the fragile material. It should be noted that in coffee makers such as AEG, Solis or Unit, the motor has several compartments, each of which can be cleaned separately.

Capsule coffee makers: operating principle
The principle of operation and repair of capsule coffee machines is slightly different from drip coffee machines. A small container with coffee powder is attached inside the machine, and the piercing mechanism is clamped manually. After use, the capsule is disposed of. There are most often no temperature sensors inside such devices, but a regular pump that operates on a timer. The water supply rate is calculated in advance. If water is supplied at the wrong dosage, the timing of the supply may be broken.
Repair of coffee makers often does not depend on the brand or model; in general, they differ only in nuances. This could be the shape, as well as the location of parts, size, or different types of sensors. The very principle of operation of the coffee machine does not change.
Any professional inspection for damage always starts with the cord. It makes no difference whether it is repairing capsule or drip coffee machines. Then the power board is checked (if there is one); it is worth noting that the coffee machine has a lot of filters, diode bridges, and also transistors. This all needs to be inspected for burnout. This is the only way to recognize the true cause of equipment malfunction.
Repair of capsule coffee machines krups dolce gusto kp100610.
In this article we will look at how to repair a krups dolce gusto kp100610 capsule coffee machine with your own hands. The most common breakdown of our coffee machine is that the water stops flowing or flows very weakly. Since hot water is pumped through the needle, scale may form. To prevent this from happening, you need to use filtered water. But this is not critical and the problem is very easily solved. To fix it, we need a thin wire, which is located at the back of the machine behind the water tank, in a small plastic pocket in the center, as in the photo below. If you do not find this wire, you can use a thin needle. The main thing is that the needle diameter is smaller than the diameter of the diffuser needle hole.
It is with this wire that the needle hole of the diffuser damper, from which water flows into the capsule, will be cleaned. Next, we clean our diffuser needle with a wire; it may not pass through very well, since the needle is clogged. This is probably the problem with our coffee machine. It doesn't hurt to use a little effort and care to clear the hole of scale. The photos below show where the diffuser flap is located and how to remove it.
After cleaning, we put everything back in its place: the diffuser damper, the empty capsule receptacle, the water tank, put the mug in, connect our dolce gusto krups coffee machine to the outlet and check whether the water comes out, first cold, then hot. If water does not flow from one of the positions or the water flows poorly. Then you need to completely disassemble the coffee machine and check all the tubes for blockages. Next in the photo below are the screws that need to be unscrewed to disassemble our machine. The tools we need for repairs are a torx screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver for opening the latches.
We unclip the latches located at the bottom of the case, marked in the photo below.
We try to carefully remove the part of the case on which the power button is located.
In the photo below we see the upper part of the pump, from which two tubes extend: one of them goes to the reservoir with the water heating element, the other goes up to the cold water supply valve. There is also a tube that comes out of the reservoir onto the valve. We disconnect the tube that goes to the cold water supply valve, move the lever to the cold water supply position, and try to blow out the tube. If air does not pass through, then the tube is clogged, but if air passes through without problems, return the tube to its place. And we carry out the same manipulations with the tube that comes out of the reservoir onto the valve.
You should also bleed the hot water tank itself. To do this, disconnect the tube going from the pump to the reservoir and blow it out. It should be taken into account that there is water in the tank. When you try to blow, water should flow from the top hole of the tank. Let's summarize. The needle has been cleaned, the tubes are clean, no obstacles to the water supply have been found, all that remains is the pump, which we are replacing with a working one. After replacement, we restore everything as it was, and carefully put the water tank in place. Let's check our device. Carefully!!! All work must be carried out with the device unplugged from the outlet, and you should also take into account that there is boiling water in the hot water tank and you risk scalding.
Follow safety precautions and good luck with your repairs!
