Frequent falls and strong impacts can render the remote control inoperative. If an element bounces off the board, the device will require soldering.
Let's consider the question of how to check the presence of a signal from the board. This can be done using a camera on a mobile phone or a digital camera. In remote controls, the signal is transmitted using infrared radiation:

Gently shake the resonator. Any noise coming from inside will indicate a malfunction of this board element.
How to fix the remote control in a situation where the contacts on the board have come loose? You will have to use a soldering iron with a small tip. To carry out the work accurately, it is better not to choose a large tip for working on the remote control board. If you do not have the necessary skills, it is better to take the remote control to a repair service or immediately buy a new one.
Cleaning
The remote control elements (button block and printed circuit board) must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased.
To clean the board, use a cotton swab moistened with alcohol or, in extreme cases, vodka (it extremely undesirable to use alcohol-containing liquids like cognac and cologne - they leave a film that will only worsen the contact). You just need to wipe the board until it is completely clean (if it is heavily soiled, you may have to change the cotton wool 2-3 times).
The rubber block of buttons , as well as contaminated elements of the case (at least the upper part of the case, which has holes), must first be washed . To do this, free the housing from all loose elements (so as not to catch them later from the sewer) and wash them in the sink with a brush (you can take a toothbrush) and detergent (any soap or dishwashing liquid).
Don’t even think about washing the board and other electronic components under the tap!
Dry the washed elements completely and wipe the button block with alcohol from the side of the contact pads - the patches.
In most cases, this cleaning may be enough to get the buttons working like new again. But it happens that the conductive coating (graphite coating) on the button contacts wears off and you will have to tinker with this a little.
How to fix buttons on a TV remote control
So, if you have already replaced the batteries, but the problem has not disappeared, you will have to think about how to restore the buttons on the TV remote control.
First of all, clean the unit both outside and inside. This is done using wet wipes and very carefully so as not to damage the device. Grease and dirt accumulate both under the buttons and on the outer surface, and inside, for example, because the remote control has been dropped a lot into a dusty carpet.
IMPORTANT! Wipe the remote control regularly to prevent it from becoming damaged. Wet wipes or a swab with alcohol are likely to be found in every home, and cleaning itself does not take much time. But you can forget about the problems of pollution and use the TV for your own pleasure.
Then inspect the spring contacts of the batteries. They can become unsoldered from the microcircuit, as a result of which the remote control will cease to perform its functions. Then you should carefully solder the parts and the problem will disappear by itself. In addition, some devices have contacts coated with graphite, which can wear off over time. There's no need to panic. You just need to find chocolate foil, cut it into small squares and attach the paper side to the contacts.
If the remote control has been dropped a lot, the problem is rooted in a faulty quartz crystal. Then you will have to replace it. To make sure that the cause of the breakdown is in the quartz, you need to shake the device. A slight noise will be a sign of a malfunction.

Every owner of a remote control sooner or later encounters this defect. The only exceptions are modern remote controls with touch controls, due to a completely different design.
Over time, after 2-3 years of use, the quality of the rubber decreases (apparently some kind of chemical reaction occurs due to temperature or something else). An oily substance begins to leak out from under the buttons onto the board, interfering with normal contact of the conductive coating with the graphite elements of the printed circuit board. All this beauty remains between the buttons and contacts of the board. Having disassembled the remote control, on the side of the circuit board at the contact points, you will probably notice a thick layer of adhesive mass. It is this fatty layer that prevents contact between the graphic coating of the board and the conductive layer on the rubber base of the buttons.
You can remove oily dirt with a damp cloth, but it is better to use dishwashing detergent, which easily breaks down grease. Just as you wash dishes, we wash the rubber band with the buttons, the remote control body and the board itself (you can use a toothbrush for this). After that, we thoroughly wipe and dry everything (it’s faster to dry the board with a hairdryer). After this procedure, the remote control becomes like new.
